McDonald's — Restaurant in Bessemer

As a professional DoorDasher I am in this restaurant several times a day. On a positive note, I do really like the way they package DoorDash orders.

On a negative note, there is never anyone at the counter. I always have to wave someone down. Where did the service go, where there’s always someone to take orders and acknowledge delivery order pick ups? Oh yes, that would be Chick-fil-A.

Today, I was accused of “trespassing“ by the manager there. I saw my DoorDash order behind the counter, and yes, I made the mistake of stepping behind the counter to pick it up , because no one would help me. And then the manager there was incredibly rude.

Do these restaurants not know how much business they get from DoorDash? I do have the ability to decline orders. And I may just start declining everything that comes from McDonald’s at that location. Somebody else can deal with that rudeness. And there are plenty of other McDonald’s locations that I can pick up orders from.

I will say that the store is very clean.

I tried to call the location at the end of my dash, but of course no one answers the phone. I wanted to try to work it out with the manager, and apologize for stepping behind the counter. Other restaurants have actual stands where you can go in there and just get your correct order and leave. But then that would be great service. So would be...

It's like the service gets slower and worse every time I come here! I don't come every day but it's safe to say I come through the drive thru at this location about every week or two, sometimes I am here three days in a row. But anyway, it's never very fast, and if the drinks aren't the wrong sizes, there's one missing, all of the cups are an inch or two from being able to consider it full, there's few or no napkins, any given sandwich is slung in its box/wrapper so haphazardly I have to reassemble myself just to get the 1/2 slice of cheese to be on the fish patty at all, which has less tarter sauce than would fit in half a ketchup packet if there's any at all. Do we want to talk about getting to the second window and waiting two more minutes before an employee enters sightlines, only for them to ask you what you ordered (just a sweet tea and McChicken add pickles) and disappear to go raise the...

Waited 23 minutes for a drink order. 5 orders placed after mine were done before mine (include ones with similar drinks to my order. When I finally got my order my coffee tasted like hot water. During my wait 3 different employees asked what I was waiting on and all 3 said they would get it right out. I would think with 3 employees working on 2 lattes, a frappe, coffee and a sweet tea (that all they had to do was put ice in the cup and hand it to me) it wouldn’t have taken 23 minutes. I also had an order of 2 hashbrowns that came out right away and 1 employee took them back after I had been waiting and said she was going to give me fresh ones. However she got distracted and I ended up having to wait for the hashbrowns after my drinks finally came up. The hashbrowns were hot but tasted like she had just dropped them back in the oil for a...
