An Exceptional Experience at Cipriani Beverly Hills – 10 Stars If I Could!
I arrived a bit early and waited at the bar for a dear friend visiting from out of town. While I was sipping champagne, the bartender opened a fresh bottle, and it accidentally spraye! my dress, hair, and even my face got wet. But the staff's immediate and professional response completely changed the tone.
They treated me so kindly, offering napkins right away, and within seconds, the manager, Serhiy Solomenko, came over personally. He apologized with such grace and insisted my drink was on the house. He even offered us a complimentary dessert.
Serhiy is top-tier professional, he came from Casa Cipriani in New York and brings a level of excellence and care that’s rare to find.
When my friend joined me, we both just laughed it off. We hadn’t seen each other in a long time, and it was a special evening. He's a Cipriani member who visits locations worldwide and said this branch has the best schnitzel of them all! He even ordered an off-menu dish he knew about, and it was absolutely incredible (I took a picture. ask to see it and they might prepare it for you too!). He really knows what to order, so follow what I posted here, you won't go wrong.
Even when there was a tiny hiccup one of the pastas had less sauce than expected the kitchen swiftly made us a fresh one with generous sauce, and it was perfection.
We were both blown away by the attentive, personalized service. The manager also showed us the Cipriani book, walking us through other gorgeous locations around the world, and even told us about Friday music nights, which we’re already planning to attend.
The dessert? Melt-in-your-mouth amazing. You have to try it—there’s just no way you should leave without it.
We left so full we couldn't finish everything, and they packaged it all so beautifully, it felt like leaving a boutique like Tiffany’s. Five stars for that too!
We sat at our favorite cozy corner sofa table, perfect for two. The Beverly Hills location is relatively new (only two years old), and I was even here for the opening night. The whole team is super professional, including one lovely staff member who was previously the bar manager at Cipriani Dubai.
Honestly, the place just keeps getting better. The crowd is always stylish, the vibe is relaxed and elegant, as if you're dining on a yacht.
Highly recommend. Cipriani Beverly Hills is truly...
Read moreIf I could leave negative stars I would. This was a lackluster dining experience in every way imaginable. No one should go to this restaurant. I doubt it will be open very long.
As an initial matter, when I arrived to the restaurant, which was practically empty, my husband and I were led to the back room to dine. There were 2 other parties in the front room. As other non-black diners came to the restaurant they were all seated in the front room. As a Black woman I cannot help but wonder whether this restaurant has a race problem. No one else was seated in this back section except for me and my husband - 2 Black people.
Things only got worse from here.
My server’s name was Corby. He is an older bald man. If you must eat here, do not sit in his section. It’s almost not fair to describe him as a server as he provided virtually no service to my husband and me. The first question that I asked of him was whether he had black napkins as I did not want to put a white napkin on my black pants resulting in my pants being covered in lint. He told me they did not have black napkins but that no lint would be left on my pants. I left this restaurant covered in white lint.
Corby was completely useless and unhelpful He never explained the menu, never once checked in on us after our food arrived. He never offered us more water. I could see his reflection in the mirror busily folding those white napkins as if that was his only task. When we called him over finally to clear our plates and I specifically brought up his lack of service he did not even apologize.
Now, I wish I could say the food was the saving grace here. It was not. All of the food that we ordered was incredibly bland. Clearly not even the smallest amount of salt was used in the kitchen. The minestrone soup, grilled salmon, spinach and ricotta ravioli all bland. They served a sad excuse of a side salad along with the salmon - I’ve seen side salads at Denny’s look more appetizing than this one. The only positive thing that I can say about the food is that the iced tea was refreshing and the plain mixed berries (not served with any sort of cream) served for dessert were fresh. The busboys were attentive.
All told, do not waste your time or money at this restaurant. There are far better (Italian) restaurants in Beverly Hills specifically and...
Read moreIf I could give this NEGATIVE stars I would. I’ve never ever had such bad service without even going to the resturant!!
What this restaurant pulled is absolutely insane, We had 4 reservations as we are regulars in the one in Vegas, New York and Mexico City and were very excited for the opening and was going to take various clients and friends. We made the reservation a month in advance and even flew out to be there for this opening weekend.
Lo and behold 24 hours before our reservation we get a notification on open table that they cancelled the reservation. No explanation nothing. One by one they cancelled each one. I called the restaurant and they said sorry with the following excuses. 1. We overbooked. 2. Our kitchen is malfunctioning. 3. The restaurant is not ready. 4 we apologize but we can’t accommodate your confirmed reservation. Let me be clear, I called 4 different times. Each time with a different excuse.
Then they said you can try on open table and then hangs up the phone on you.
Furious that they cancelled all 4 of my reservations at different times and days and with their staff was rude on the phone and hung up ok me when I asked why. I decided to drive there.
I asked to speak to the manager. An older Italian man who ignored me. He said go talk to host I can’t help you. I go to the host and I ask them to reconfirm my reservation. Meanwhile the restaurant is packed with a number of b list and c list socialites in LA who clearly they accommodated by bumping my reservations.
The host did nothing other than said I’m sorry but we hope to see you come at a later date. Not once did they even bother looking at the books to find a spot for my 4 dates. Their recommendation was to book on open table. OpenTable does not have any availability til end of February for weekend dates.
So long story short we were rejected after having confirmed reservations and the restaurant did nothing to fix the problem. This elitest mentality will burn bridges with the community and I hope they fail because they have not anything to make amends for the damage they have done. We had clients book flights, we had secured babysitters, and scheduled around these planned dinners only to be cancelled for just cause.
My recommendation. DO NOT SUPPORT...
