From the moment we stepped into Louká in Beverly Hills, it felt like a new vibe on an old classic. The ambiance was elevated yet inviting, but what truly made our night unforgettable was the food -and the staff who served it with such heart.
The lollipop lamb chops were the showstopper of the evening. Juicy, tender, and bursting with a flavor so rich yet balanced, each bite felt like a culinary celebration. I'm still thinking about them. The Greek salad was exceptionally fresh it didn’t even need dressing - crisp cucumbers, ripe tomatoes, and briny olives sang together in perfect harmony. And then there were the patates lemonates - Greek-style lemon potatoes - perfectly roasted and kissed with citrus. They tasted like springtime itself in a side dish: comforting, bright, and beautifully seasoned.
Now, not everything was a hit - I'd recommend skipping the spanakopita, which didn’t quite hold up to the excellence of everything else. But that’s a small footnote in an otherwise extraordinary meal.
Where Louká truly shines is in its staff. Raymond and Israel were absolutely phenomenal. They weren’t just servers; they were curators of our experience. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, they made thoughtful suggestions, ensured every detail was taken care of, and made us feel like VIPs from the moment we sat down. It’s rare to encounter such genuine hospitality - they were more than accommodating, and their warmth elevated the entire evening.
If you're looking for a place that serves up not just incredible Greek food, but a genuinely memorable experience, Louká is it. We'll be back - and next time, we're...
Read moreHaving made my first trip to Greece this past summer, I was intrigued when I came across Estiatorio Louká when looking for a dinner spot. I would rate my experience at 4.25 stars and recommend a visit if you are looking for fresh and authentic Greek cuisine.
Food - 4.5 stars. Unfortunately I was by myself so couldn’t sample more of the menu. However, the dishes I had - Greek salad, marinated anchovies, and the octopus - were solid. The Greek salad won as the best dish with extremely fresh produce, outstanding olive oil, and good feta. I can recommend the other two dishes but not as “must-haves”. The moussaka was recommended and I would have liked to have tried it but there was only so much that could be consumed.
Service - 4.5 stars. As I was dining alone, I sat at the bar. The first bartender serving me, James (?) I believe, provided top notch service and friendliness. We had a good discussion about Austin where he used to live and where I currently reside. When James (?) went on break, two other gentleman took his place. Perfectly fine service but outshined by James (?).
Ambiance - 4 stars. It was a quiet Tuesday evening and the bartenders assured me that there was more energy Thursday - Saturday. Nothing really to...
Read moreFirst time at Louká—and I’ll admit, as a San Franciscan, I usually avoid the glitzy Beverly Hills scene. Places where “see and be seen” is more important than seasoning. But this spot surprised me in the best way.
Walked in and immediately got into some playful banter with the host (I think his name was Martin—charming, welcoming, and patient with all my “where did the lamb grow up?” questions). He seated us at a beautiful booth that was slightly too low, but the team rallied with pillows and napkins to build me a makeshift throne. Major points for creative problem-solving.
I’m picky with cocktails, but Sologo, the bartender, was on it. She nailed my overly complicated drink order with grace and zero eye rolls.
Food? Incredible. The Greek salad was so fresh we questioned why we even asked for dressing on the side. The spanakopita was good—could’ve been better—but we still polished it off like champs. The off-menu lamb lollipops? Absolute perfection. Served with crispy potatoes that I’m still thinking about.
Raymond and Israel took care of us with warmth and precision. The entire team was lovely—accommodating, upbeat, and genuinely kind. I’ll definitely be back… possibly often enough that they just start calling...
