Prospect Gourmand" is a charming restaurant that offers a delightful brunch experience. The menu features a range of options to suit everyone's taste buds, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The Mushroom Goat Cheese Omelette was a standout dish - the eggs were perfectly cooked and the filling of mushrooms and goat cheese was rich and flavorful. It was a generous portion and left me feeling satisfied but not overly full. My partner opted for the classic "Two Eggs *How You Like 'Em" and was not disappointed. The eggs were cooked exactly as ordered, and the accompanying sides of toast and hash browns were well-prepared. For dessert, we tried the Ricotta Pancakes with fresh strawberries and maple syrup. While the pancakes and syrup were delicious, unfortunately the strawberries were not as fresh as we would have liked. However, it didn't detract from our overall experience. The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend "Prospect Gourmand" for a satisfying brunch experience, and especially recommend the Mushroom Goat Cheese Omelette.

This place is a GEM! Beautifully prepared, fresh, and creative flavors inside a beautiful atmosphere. I could not believe the variety of flavors in every dish that we tried! We got three happy hour specials (before 6pm) - the salmon collar, Brussels sprouts, and guacamole were all perfectly balanced in flavors and textures. At our table, we all agreed that the gazpacho was the best any of us had ever tasted. For entrees, we shared the duck breast and short ribs….although it took a half hour wait to come out, these dishes did not disappoint! The duck breast was especially special with a fantastic fruity sauce with Sichuan pepper flavors - a combination I didn’t think would work well together but actually was an explosion of flavors. The duck breast was perfectly cooked rare. The short ribs had the juiciest meat and fell right off the bone, and came with the most delicious mashed potatoes. The only thing I would critique is that the short ribs were a bit salty (it seemed like it would go really well with a starch or maybe more plain steamed veggies) but honestly everything was beyond delicious and we will definitely be back again!

I recently visited Prospect Gourmand in Los Angeles, and I was pleased with the overall dining experience. The ambiance was cozy, with a beautifully decorated interior that gave the restaurant a chic and welcoming vibe. The décor added a unique touch to the dining experience, especially with the charming shelves filled with books and decorative items (see photo). For the meal, i ordered grilled salmon served with a fresh salad and a flavorful dipping sauce. The salmon was well-cooked and had a perfect char that complemented the fresh and lightly dressed salad on the side (photo attached). I also had a side of fries that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served with ketchup and aioli. I was planning on getting one of the main courses but i got full on the appetizers mentioned previously before I could order one of the mains. The staff were very welcoming and warm and always made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The food, service and ambiance were great and we paid $85 for two people. Overall, it’s a solid place for a casual yet upscale meal.

My first visit here for an impromptu brunch… The air was welcoming and unassuming, leather vintage chairs for comfort and cozyness, surrounded by a slightly eclectic decor. We sat outside and familiarized with the wobbly table easily balanced with some pennies. We ordered drinks and main courses, truffles Mac n cheese and a burger, as we read in the menu, the grilled Brussels sprouts catch our eyes and we now have a clearer picture. The Brussels sprouts arrive and they’re amazing, slightly charred with hints of balsamic and a light spice ensemble that rounded it up perfectly. Bravo. The Mac n cheese and the cheeseburger arrive and I can confidently say it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a very long time, carefully crafted every small bite had its own gravity, the white cheddar was married by a light horseradish and crispy fried onions, the fresh tomato balanced it with gusto and brought it back to the beef patty, juicy and fresh with a hint of a sweet after bite. Delicious. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy with a slight crunch that energized the dips, a homemade mayonnaise with a pinch of pink salt and organic ketchup, married into the perfect bite and scooped with two fries simultaneously. Again. Bravo. Perfect brunch and perfect settings. What life little moments are made of. Do yourself a favor and treat your...

The staff is friendly and is has a nice comfortable feel. The food was a bit pricier than I'd like it to be in order to really be a regular here. There isn't a very large selection, and most things are in the mid-20s. I went with a $16 burger and it wasn't bad but also didn't knock my socks off for what I'd expect from a $16 burger. I'm sure the other selections are worth the price, but I can't speak to that personally.

They were out of the wine I selected and they actually recommended another that they only sold by the bottle... for $150! I thought they were going to offer to pour it be the glass since they were out of the other... but no. Funny that they thought... oh we're out of his $12/glass wine he ordered... maybe he'll go for the $150 bottle... haha. At any rate, after tried another selection I didn't much care for, I had a FANTASTIC one that I ordered a glass of, and it was exactly what I was craving that night.

I'd love to come back here and try something else and FOR SURE order their Whiskey Bread Pudding! The idea of the pudding is one of the things that really makes me want to come back! I gave this a 4... though 3.5 is a bit more accurate based...

Great Food / Bad Service. It was about 7pm today that I walked into Prospect Gourmand. I had ordered over the phone a few times and this time decided to walked the 20 mins to order at the restaurant. The restaurant looked full but the environment was orderly. I went up to the bar and ordered fries from a young male wait staff. He asked which ones and whether I’d like to look at the menu to order anything else? I said no, just the fries, I’ve had them before. Then a young woman interjected and said they weren’t doing takeaway orders, only orders inside the restaurant. The man said he’d go check with the kitchen then came back to say, sorry. I exclaimed, they’re just fries and that I’d walked 20 mins, but he repeated sorry. I felt offended and told him I won’t be coming back to have their burgers again, that I’m a customer just as much as these people (referring to the dinner guests), and left. It’s a shame because I enjoyed their oat fried chicken burger and waffles. I would understand if they had told me no tables were available but refusing me service was a shock. I felt some type of way for the next 20 mins, until I found another restaurant in the area and...
