Walkers — Restaurant in Billings

Prior to arriving to this elegant restraint we had already been to two other restaurants. The first was closed. The second one, Fiesta Mexicano, served us cockroaches in our chips! We were very frustrated by that point with trying to find something remotely edible at this point.

We arrived at this restaurant with very low expectations at this point just hoping for the best. We walk in to a full diner…. Everyone is laughing and having a great time. The hostess was very kind, prompt, and informative. She had us a table under the time frame she estimated which is always a plus!!

Here is what I noticed about this place:

First and foremost: cleanliness, space to move and sit comfortably, exceptional team work.

Our waitress was extremely prompt in getting to us and we never had to ask her for refills, where our food was, or even what was in the dishes we were considering. That girl was on 🔥. I’ve been in customer service for 16 years; this girl deserves a raise.

Staff was extremely helpful with one another. They were all well versed in the very classy menu. You could see cooks assembling plates and taking care to present their dishes well…. I didn’t see a single staff member take short cuts on their duties. Everyone was practicing proper food handling and cleaning procedures!

That alone is enough to keep me coming back!

We can’t forget the food though! Everything was so rich and flavorful! My favorite part was my virgin Bloody Mary! I don’t even like them but decided I wanted one and I ended up loving theirs! I had the French Onion soup and it was sooooo creamy and well balanced! It paired perfectly with my drink and left me completely stuffed full!

Thank you guys so much for being the highlight of our trip here. Things started out rough with a dirty hotel room, hotel hot tub was busted, and a roachy chip sitch…. You turned the whole weekend around for me. This place is every bit classy, delightful,...

We are foodies and extremely particular looking for good food! Walkers delivered five star service in every area. I would call the food, fine dining!! We were welcomed to come in as we were traveling campers & it is very nice atmosphere! It could be black tie to shorts and a T-shirt. Fun atmosphere.

The employees all treated us as if we were royalty. And we had been camping so it's not like we looked like royalty. Lol. From the cocktails, to the beet salad, to the scallop and risotto special to Walker signature burger were absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection as the burger was perfect medium rare and the scallops melted in my mouth !!!! If we would've been on camera you would've seen our eyes keep rolling as we said mmmmmmm! The deviled eggs were absolutely delicious! (Im from the midwest & never thought a restaurant would have good deviled eggs. I ate my words because these were amazing! We are traveling from Nebraska to the west coast and my husband found this wonderful restaurant on a yelp app.

Not only was our waitress professional, kind, fun, informative, the other employees walking around always double checked to make sure if we needed anything.

The owner visited us more than once. Nick was a gem for sure. So friendly, sincere, kind, professional, helpful and gracious. My husband & i talked about this restaurant all last night! My husband said he thinks he even dreamt about it. Lol

We spoke about it today as we drove hundreds of miles that it was a God thing that we found that restaurant. Thank you to Nick and all of his employees, even though we live 1000 miles away if we come on any vacation this way you will be on the top of the list. Tonight, I found myself at a charming bar, enjoying a delightful evening of solitude. The ambiance was classic rustic Americana, with high ceilings, dark wood accents, and dramatic lighting that created an intimate atmosphere. The establishment had two entrances, each welcoming with a staff that was both beautiful and welcoming.

I decided to indulge in a full-course meal, savoring each dish with utmost elegance. The salad arrived before the appetizer, and it was a delightful surprise. The house salad featured a unique combination of ingredients, including candy, donuts, salt, blue cheese, silver garden lettuce, onions, sweet peppers, bacon, lemon, basil, and a delectable vinaigrette. While the presentation may have seemed unconventional at first, I found myself thoroughly enjoying the harmonious blend of flavors.

The deviled eggs with candied bacon jam, pickled fresnos, and blue cheese were simple yet delightful. However, I felt that they lacked a complementary element to enhance their overall taste. The NY Strip steak was cooked to perfection, cooked to my desired medium doneness. The savory bread pudding was an exciting addition to the meal, but I found that it could have benefited from a touch more flavor.

To conclude my culinary journey, I savored the Apple Crisp, which was a delightful dessert. While the apples could have benefited from a longer simmering time, the crumble topping was simply heavenly.
