After meeting a couple the night before from Kentucky at TBT and knowing that I enjoy a good sour and seltzer, amongst others (lol), they suggested that we check out this brewery. We decided to go to the Brewery the next evening (Feb 27, 2022) to check it out.
We sat at the bar and was waited on by a interesting young lady. I inquired if they did flights and she indicated that they did and didn't have a specific amount you could try.
She indicated sonewhere between 4 to 6, and I ended up trying 7: 1 Seltzer, a Boysenberry; and 6 Sours, a Ramble on Rose, Sneaking Sally, Blanche, Dorothy, Rose and Sophia (and yes think Golden Girls..lol).
What's funny is that I did enjoy those 4 over the Sneaking Sally and the Ramble on Rose. For me they might have been a bit too sour but I don't think they were balanced well with the flavors. The Golden Girls, surprisingly, were delicious, as well as the Seltzer. It is one of the better Seltzers that I have had, and the couple from the night before did not stear me wrong on the brew and the brewery.
If you like to try different brews, from Lagers, IPA's, Wheats, Ales, and yes Sour/fruited beers, theres enough to to try for anyone's pallette but especially for Fruited Sours.
I ended up getting a glass and 2 flight glasses but they were limited on their style of shirts and sizes, and sadly I couldn't get one to take home.
They had a TV in there and a shuffleboard, so all they were missing was a pool table and maybe an outdoors with some outdoor games...lol... All in all it's a good Brewery as a stop in Biloxi, especially if you do like to try different brews. Looking forward to going back this summer when I will be back in town for another visit...
Read moreThis is a great, local brewery with many different beers styles/options to choose from. They have several seltzers and sours, but they also have traditional beer styles on tap, such as lagers, Belgian wits, and IPAs. First, they have a permanent, on-site food truck. They do this so you can bring your dogs inside! They are very dog friendly, as long as your dog is friendly! Second, they do have outdoor seating with umbrellas if you’d like to try and sit outside. Otherwise, they have a lot of seating inside. Next, the indoor atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. You can sit at the bar or grab a table off to the side. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. On to the beers - I always get a tasting flight, and I must say I typically NEVER drink seltzers. But OMG, their strawberry rhubarb seltzer (a seasonal brew) was absolutely delicious! It’s nothing like any seltzer you’ve ever tasted before, I promise! I tried several of their other beers and styles, and they were good, too, but I have to say that the strawberry rhubarb seltzer was the best out of all the ones I tried. It may not be currently available. You won’t regret visiting this awesome place! They have board games, so bring your kids so they can play and have fun while you relax! Come support this local, hard working brewery! They even have beer you can buy and take home if you can’t...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I stopped by Fly Llama Brewing to try their seltzer flight, and while the drinks were fun and flavorful, the overall experience could use a few improvements.
The seltzer flight included muscadine, strawberry basil, pineapple satsuma, pawpaw, and honeydew blackberry, definitely a unique variety! My personal favorite was the strawberry basil is light, refreshing, and a little herbal. The pineapple satsuma had a tropical punch, and the muscadine was bold and juicy. It’s clear they put a creative spin on their flavors, which we appreciated.
That said, the ordering system needs some serious work. We were waiting in line to order, but multiple people walked right up and got served ahead of us. There’s no clear line or system, and it felt frustrating trying to be polite while others cut in with no issue. A better setup or some signage could really help keep things flowing.
Overall, Fly Llama has potential, the drinks are genuinely good and offer something different from the typical craft beer scene but the guest experience could be better with just a few small changes. I’d go back, but probably at a...
