Should have known. A brewery with a food truck outside. Means food is not a priority. The burger was greasy, oily, and for the first time ever... chewy. Which defeats the purpose of a smash burger. They're supposed to be crispy. At the very least along the edges. No dice with this place. That part can almost be forgiven if they were swamped. But they were not.
I suppose it stands to reason though. Places that specialize in food, and also have beer, usually don't have very good beer. Here we have a place that specializes in beer, but.doesn't have very good food. But I guess when everyone is drunk, no one notices or cares about the quality of the food. Another $20 down the drain. Couldn't even force myself to finish it.
But credit where credit is due. They are pretty big patties. So if you can stomach it, at least it'll fill you up.
