Guthrie's of Homewood — Restaurant in Birmingham

First time eating here was undergraduate in Auburn University, alabama students frequented now demolished like our classmate demarcus went home for the weekend and murdered after we all stood in the apartment parking lot next door to guthrie's. Seems alleys where he was shot follows me the police did not believe I was at my mother's backyard where I grew up because my license had another address. So she had to leave where she was at my grandmother's house to prove who I was and they still have a ticket for no reason but powerful bully. I do not know anyone but the molester's family across the front. I had a key but was so upset by one did not have time to get the back gate plus I was recording about the story the alley was dark a few years earlier when the molester wife had me arrested because don't want to communicate with her. The light pole was out and the power company finally responded but the repair man said to me he thought it was a skinny tree with vines leaves. I had told them it was covered up from remembering different as a child but certain people once lied on will never recoup their reputation. Demarcus lived in a housing project me and my mother lived when she bought the house I grew up in and only knew the neighbor across the street daughter back then too. I spent my time at grandmother. I did not know demarcus as a child nor where he lived in Birmingham until his death and in the choir at school too. Funny the store named alleys drugstore was where a friend in the housing projects worked for over 30 years and closed after I went to court with the molester's wife lost the case but put in handcuffs after leaving the courtroom. I had a taste for Guthrie’s chicken so I got in my car and went through the drive through. The service was quick and the cashier was very professional, polite,and had the most bright and beautiful smile, especially when I gave her a $5.00 tip. She even asked me was it for her? I laughed and stated “Yes”! Of course it’s for you.

She then told me that management tells them that they must ask. I laughed a little more and got my food I ordered.

The chicken strips were so tender, fresh, crispy and juicy, and when I dipped it in their special sauce 😱😱😱! I couldn’t wait to dip some more strips. The French fries were long, crispy, and good too. My garlic bread was a nice size and the Cole slaw 😱😱😱was sooo good. Their Cole slaw is the best I’ve had so far.

Therefore, if you want to get real good 5 piece chicken strips dinner then Guthrie’s is where you want to go. Don’t forget to buy another sauce so you can enjoy more. Take a look for yourself at the picture I took....

The Guthrie's location I visited was the one in Homewood, Alabama. It only has Drive-Thru service. The food was hot and good. On this particular day, the weather was BAD!! It poured down rain for some hours. I realized when I got back to work that I was missing My coleslaw. I called the location SOON AS I SAW I WAS MISSING My slaw. The "Manager" that I spoke with told Me That it is against company policy to fix an order without My receipt. I tried to explain that I JUST LEFT the store. How hard it was raining then and STILL raining RIGHT then. I COULD NOT find the receipt!! I couldn't even remember if I was given A receipt!! I was told then I would have to call corporate in order to receive My missing item. I then said I will do that. I also said, I will also tell corporate how the individual that was shredding cabbage for the coleslaw, was doing so in A BLACK SPORTS BRA!!!!!! I never could find My receipt, so I just didn't even try to contact corporate or call back...
