Yesterday, a coworker and I stopped by to get our routine drinks for the team. Anthonia, forgive me if I misspelled her name, took our order. I was extremely patient with her considering the amount of drinks we were ordering. (3) Grande Strawberry Lemonades, extra lemonade no strawberries, lite ice, (1) Grande iced white mocha latte 3v 3bs with sweet foam, (1) Grande white chocolate macadamia cold brew with sweet foam. I had to repeat my order at least 5 times before hearing her repeat it back to me correctly. We got to the window, I added on the croissants because I figured she was having a hard time hearing me at the drive thru and seemed a bit frustrated. She wasn’t too happy to add those it seemed. She walked away from the register without acknowledging she was adding them on. At this point I’m thinking we should just skip getting Starbucks today or ask if someone else could assist us if she’s not in the mood to service us but thinking maybe she’s having a bad day and taking a minute to woosah, we waited patiently until she returned. When she did, she gave us the new total she passed a few drinks and the croissants. We noticed 3 were wrong (strawberry lemonade drinks). We pointed that out to her and she responded by saying “lets take a look at the receipt”. I replied “if the order was entered incorrectly in the system the receipt would also be incorrect but sure lets go over it”. The receipt was incorrect. I repeated the order to her once more and she motioned for us to pass the drinks back. My coworker asked her if she could pass us the other drink that was sitting in the window seal while his hand was already out the window because we could tell that one was correct and it was also correct on the receipt, she mumbled something before closing the window on his hand. As a response, he slid the window back open off his hand while grabbing the drink from the window ledge. At this point, I’m concerned for my coworkers hand and how much longer Anthonia has on her shift before she could take a break to get some fresh air (it’s about 11am she’s probably dealt with 100s of people by now) but mostly Im highly disappointed because from the beginning, the level of service isn’t what I’m use to receiving from this location as we come here several times a week if not every workday.
Sweet and loving Myles came to the window, offered an apology and to make our drinks correctly. With a quick turnaround, we had all of our drinks and they were correct. I hope Anthonia is having a better day and is a bit more gentler with herself and her customers when she’s overwhelmed. Next time, step off the floor if you’re having trouble fulfilling your role. The company, yourself and your customers would appreciate it!
Love you guys,...
Read moreOften times even when I like a place I can find something significant enough to gripe about. That was really tough here. I like to come here any time of day, particularly when I need a comfortable place to study. There is nice music playing, which is a Starbucks staples, particularly with the Spotify connect, but the music isn’t so loud that I can’t get into my own world with an audiobook, podcast or music.
Seating is fairly comfortable. There are small tables made for two, but they can be easily pushed together for a larger group. The smaller tables all have a power outlet nearby. There is a larger community style table close to the door with power outlets built onto it just underneath, it is genius, I tell you. The same goes for the bench style seating along the windows. I can’t see anyone struggling to get some needed juice when here.
It can get a little busy, particularly on weekends from what I noticed. Google does a pretty good job or predicting the busier times of day; check that out if larger crowds can be a bit much (guilty🙋🏾♂️).
The only real problem I have had is two part. Sometimes they will let me order stuff they don’t have. But they correct it with no qualms. This happens in store but it also happens using the mobile order, which I can’t see attributing to the actual locations. That seems more like a data management, inventory, etc quirk.
Overall this location is pretty nice. They are welcoming, knowledgeable about the products they serve and are helpful. No business is perfect but it is about how those mistakes are handled, they do a good job of here. What more could you ask for...perfection,...
Read moreNot so happy birthday visit for my 12 yr old and me today. My unmasked face in a nearly empty store (more employees present than customers) made the barista/cashier Very uncomfortable. He offered me a mask and I graciously and kindly accepted. The barista proceeded to tell me, "You don't have to be sarcastic." And repeatedly said this to me no matter how kind I was to him. It's important to recognize distress in others and de-escalate whenever possible. Sad to say I had to keep the store's employee from losing it. He was so distracted by my mask less face that he allowed it to affect his performance, even after I put the mask on (his co-worker repeated my order to him several times until it registered ). I honestly wanted to have a pleasant day celebrating my daughter's birthday and really am disappointed with the snarky barista we encountered today. WELCOME TO STARBUCKS -MASK...
