Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Bismarck

Dashing here was awful. I know it gets busy but I beat the rush hour before it started and yet I was still waiting for over 20 minutes on a delivery. I asked the cashier when it would be ready and she wasn’t any help, and not only that, my delivery was just sitting on the counter for about 10 minutes and not a single employee picked it up or called the name for it. Everyone just walked right past it. I had to be the one to point it out ask for it to be handed to me. I tried to be patient because I understand how stressful it can be when it’s busy, but how do you see an order on the counter and just walk right past it? I wish that the staff working here were more friendly. I know they are likely high school kids... This is a good opportunity for them to learn customer service... Smile, say "hello" and "how can I help you?" Or maybe offer suggestions on what their favorite smoothie is. Be helpful. It's good to have a job but they need to learn how to be good at it and use social skills with people you don't know.

We were traveling through ND and wanted a smoothie so found this location on Google maps. It was great. The smoothies were very large and tasted great. The staff were all young and all working together. I think some were in training as others were explaining things to them. It's wonderful to see young people working, learning new skills and treating customers with respect. We were greeted the minute we walked in the door and again when we stepped up to make our order.
