A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Blackfoot

I just recently moved over here and never even knew that A&W had whole restaurants. I had always thought they only made the root beer in the aluminum cans and 2 liter bottles. When I saw a youtube video about them I finally knew they were a thing, and decided to go. I tried their 3 pc chicken w/ fries and a root beer float. Gotta say that the chicken was super duper juicy and the float was superb. I only wish I wasn't sleep deprived when I went through the drive through. I came back a few weeks later and decided to try and eat inside, but their seating was restricted ( thanks covid ) so I just stood there looking around. Saw on the tv they had whole collectors jugs and IMMEDIATELY bought two. The fact that they sell root beer by the gallon blows my mind. The jug only held half gallon though so thats why I bought two. Saw I missed the 100 year anniversary so Im dissapointed, but hopefully the next jugs look just as cool. You people HAVE TO GET THE JUGS. Tried their shrimp basket and it was actually the best and freshest shrimp i've ever had. They even gave 16 pcs of the shrimp which for the price is very generous. I wish A&W was more popular than McDonalds because it DEFINTELY deserves to be. Idk how anyone could them with the service they've provided me.

TL;DR you HAVE to buy the collectors jugs. They sell root beer not just by the cup size, but by half and full GALLONS. Their food was super hot and fresh, so its sad to see all the low reviews that other people have given due to maybe incompetent staff, but I havent personally had any problems at all. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who likes burgers...

So normally I don't leave reviews but I was very disappointed yesterday. The last time I had food from this location was about a year ago. And it was good food. The floats were perfect and the sandwiches were fresh. Now fast forward to yesterday I had ordered three large rootbeer floats and my sister ordered a shake and chili cheese fries. About 15 to 20 minutes later we finally got our food. For some reason my float was double stacked cups and the kid told me it was because he overfilled my cup. So I had rootbeer leaking everywhere. When we got home home everyone realized that we had basically a cup full of ice cream with tiny bit of rootbeer in the bottom. I had to go purchase more from a gas station just so that we could have it be an actual float. And then my sister chili cheese fries didn't even have any cheese on them. I wasn't too surprised with our service because I had heard from multiple friends and people that customers service and quality had gone down at this location. P.S. this location was pretty much dead when we went there around 8 o'clock at night. That's why I don't understand why it was so hard to get a small order like...

Waited 5 minutes in the drive thru just to order, asked for 4 meals 3 with cheese curds 1 with fries waited at the window another 5 minutes just to get our food and the lady at the window was not very friendly. We checked our food before leaving the parking lot and realized they had only given us only 1 cheese curd and our sodas was warm like 4 cubes of ice in each cup . I went in the store and let them know I had ordered 3 cheese curds they asked me for a receipt in which I was never given one. They gave me another order of cheese curds but were very rude about it and said if I wanted the 3rd cheese curd I would have to pay for it. Which I did pay for. We usually stop by blackfoot A&W a lot but needless to say I don't think I will ever go back to this location again. And just so you know I worked at this location years ago when it first opened and was also a manger for this location. I would have never allowed the crew to treat and talk to customers in the manner I was talked to...
