Rating: ★★☆☆☆
I recently visited Freddie's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. As a customer, I value cleanliness and attentive service, but I was met with filthy floors, dirty tables, and a lack of attention to the overall hygiene of the dining area. The staff seemed more interested in chit-chatting amongst themselves than ensuring a clean and pleasant environment for customers. Additionally, I encountered a broken soap dispenser in the men's room, which further added to my disappointment.
One of the first things I noticed upon entering the establishment was the unsightly state of the floors. They appeared to have gone without a thorough cleaning for quite some time, with visible dirt and grime in various corners. It was disheartening to witness this neglect, as it significantly impacted my overall impression of the restaurant.
The tables were no better. They were covered in sticky residue and food crumbs, indicating a lack of attention to basic cleanliness. It was evident that the tables hadn't been wiped down properly in quite some time. This not only affected the visual appeal of the dining area but also raised concerns about the overall sanitation practices of the establishment.
What further exacerbated my disappointment was the behavior of the staff. Instead of promptly addressing the cleanliness issues, they were engaged in casual conversations, seemingly oblivious to the filth surrounding them. While it is understandable that employees may need to take short breaks or socialize, it is imperative that they prioritize the cleanliness of the restaurant and attend to the needs of the customers.
To add to the list of grievances, I discovered a broken soap dispenser in the men's restroom. Basic hygiene facilities should be well-maintained at all times, and the presence of a malfunctioning soap dispenser reflects a lack of attention to such essential details. This lack of cleanliness and functionality in the restroom only reinforced my negative impression of the restaurant.
On a positive note, I must acknowledge that the staffing levels appeared to be sufficient. There were enough employees present to attend to customers and manage orders efficiently. However, the focus on quantity seemed to come at the expense of quality, as evident from the lack of attention to cleanliness and maintenance.
In conclusion, my experience at Freddie's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers fell short of my expectations. The filthy floors, dirty tables, and overall lack of attention to hygiene were disappointing. Moreover, the broken soap dispenser in the men's restroom was a clear indication of neglect. I hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and implements necessary improvements to provide a more pleasant and sanitary dining experience for...
Read moreI'm not one to normally post negative reviews of places, but my first (and now last) experience at Freddy's was terrible.
I waited in the drive through with a bigger order. I ordered a couple California burgers, and four other regular cheeseburgers. When the drive through order was ringing in the California burgers, it rang in under the same as the other burgers. I said "I'm just making sure that those two burgers are california style" and he assured me they were.
While waiting in line, I got a text from someone I was picking up food for in my group asking for chicken tenders. When I got up to pay, before paying i said "is there anyway that I can add on 3 chicken tenders." He looked at me with a disgusted face, told me to hold a minute, and shut the window. He opens up the window again, and says "if you want to add that you need to come in." Uhm I came through the drive through because I didn't want to get out of my car, and now you are telling me to get out of it. I ask "I need to come in for all my food." He goss "no just the chicken tenders." I go "whys that" and he responds with "there are people behind you in line." Yeah, its a drive through line, that happens.
I tell him ill come inside because I was done dealing with it. He hands me both of my sacks of food. I pull around, and park. I walk in, and there is a line of five families with only one cashier. I decide that they don't care about my business, and leave.
I get to my home with all of the food. We were missing one of our fries, and the four fries we had were halfway full (and cold). The chili we got was only halfway full as well. The two california burgers I specifically asked for assurance on were regular style.
I will definitely not be returning to this freddys (or most likely...
Read moreI always try to post something positive even if the experience is not what I was expecting. 🤔
I'll start with the positive, the pumpkin pie concrete was good and the shoestring fries were good 👍 that's where the positive ends.
The burger was very dry 🍔 and even with cheese and bacon 🥓 and condiments it was unmentionable.😞
Additionally, no one wants to sit in a restaurant that left a pile of floor 🧹 sweepings and food with a broom and dustpan unmoved my entire visit. It's a real appetite killer (see photos). What kind of fast food emergency pulled this employee away from sweeping up, so fast it wasn't possible to put it in the dustpan and emptied into the trash then carried back out of sight before the cash register emergency 🦺 And it wasn't that busy for the 7-8pm time frame. Also, the men's bathroom was "out of order" which really makes me wonder about the male employees hygiene 🤢
In the end, I ate my burger and fries inside and headed out to my car to eat my pumpkin pie concrete 🍧
When fast food isn't fast, costs as much as an entree at a decent restaurant, you'd think they might try to put food from sweeping the floor in the trash 🗑️ and the 🧹 and dustpan away, even if you aren't serving the most delicious version of the food you are "known" for 🤔
I wish I could say something more positive but things here really need to be reviewed...
