It is Easter Sunday in the evening...did family stuff yesterday, me and my boys were at the park...and I decided I didn't want to cook so I just swung through McDonalds. Been to this location 100 times before and it is usually ok. This is my most recent experience.
It was completely dead as in the Easter Sunday evening. About 6:45pm. Promptly greeted at the speaker. The employee did the correct greeting and asked if I used the app. Nope. Ordered my food and it appeared correctly on the screen. No read back, but I guess that's what the screens for. After 20 years of running a restaurant I guess it is pounded into my brain. They asked me to pull to the second window...a first for this Mcdonalds but their projections probably showed slow business and they cut their labor. Makes sense. Would be a bad night to work there and get really busy though. Anyhoo...my biggest negative. They did not have icecream or any cold desert available. I didn't ask why because I already know. Those machines are a pain to clean and with there already being small crew they just lie and say it's broken. Happens at McDonalds across the country more time than it should, but it is what it is. Hourly wage has nothing to do with it, some people just have a poor work ethic and it can be contagious...and that's an easy corner to cut. My kid was sad but he'll get over with. Minor annoyance. I get to the second window and they cash me out and ask me to pull to the #1 parking space. Kudos for that! Some would be annoyed...but I knew it was because they were slow and didn't have fresh fries. Sure enough...3 minutes later they had my food and the fries were piping hot. Now, did they want to give good service or just not have to deal with complaints? Doesn't matter, I got hot fries and my order was correct. The 2 employees I interacted with were efficient but not overly friendly. Just doing their job. I'm fine with that as a customer...but if they were my employees I would coach them to be more upbeat and if they could not...some people just aren't friendly by nature...move them to a non-service position. Maybe they were the only people available though? I don't know the details...but as a customer...that was just fine with me. Got what I wanted...minus a sunday, and it was fresh and the wait was minimal for getting fries right out of the fryer. The lot was clean. Did not go inside so I didn't do a window, bathroom, counter, back of house, drink station, table inspection. Lolz. Could it have been better? Sure. They could have had icecream available. If I cared about the person preparing my food being more upbeat...that could be a thing. But overall I was satisfied and will return. Not like I have a choice. My kids love McDonalds...I personally am over fast...
Read moreWent inside after picking up a mobile order to use restroom with my kids both special needs and our service dog. A lady were a manager shirt stormed into the bathroom and let me know dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant. She didn't even bother to greet us and have any tone of kindness just verbally assaulted in the Northside McDonald's restaurant bathroom at that. Not a single bit of hey how are you. She was so unkind. Like you can see I came in with my kids ransacked me while taking them to the bathroom. She didn't even ask if it was a service animal or show any humanity.im more surprised then anything that Ebriham the owner is tolerant towards someone so rude. She literally is on my body cam I wear it will I'm doing mobile order delivering. Imma pray for the rest of the week. I have a feeling I could win a nice lump of money 💰 lady you need to adjust your attitude. I have always had a lawyer for a reason I'm disabled and so are my kids and we are disgusted with how she treated us . I understand working as McDonald's manager can be extremely busy and one of the hardest jobs. But you have to have good social skills honestly to work a job like fast food. I know this because I was a manager for many years at several different restaurants including this one. Baby girl I will pray for you. I hope God helps me to not sure her,the store, and McDonald's overall. I wish you the best you should seek therapy your self lady just saying learn some people skills. Also don't forget when working you must be VERY careful the way your word you statements. Most people record or where body cams for a reason. This world is horrible and you must protect your self always. Do better McDonald's. Also the food was horrible, not surprised but usually better 😕 was like they had so much down time the whole crew was sitting in the lobby gossiping. Check your cameras Ebriham. Don't come for my incorrect English, spelling, and punctuation,I'm heated and not worried about correct punctuation and all...
Read moreIf you can avoid this McDonald’s please do it. There are a select few workers who are nice and know what they are doing but most do not. I understand fast food restaurants are busy but having a nasty atmosphere, and customer service is not acceptable. Today we were greeted with “hi” that was it, so we waited to order because, a couple minutes later we were asked “do you plan on ordering.” Still being nice we ordered. First window guy was EXTREMELY rude after we asked a question. Second window was clearly a manager at first, she handed us our drinks and then rudely said “waiting on your food” and slammed the window. Second Gentleman to hand us our food was very kind!! I always check the bag before leaving, it looked correct granted I did not open our boxes of food. You could tell from the drive thru how nasty the inside was with polar pop cups on the counters, etc etc! Our order was 2 reg patties (we were charged for steak), 2 drinks, one quarter pounder, one medium fry, one small fry & a 6 piece nugget well done. We get home and have 2 quarters and fries. It was okay we were still going to eat it. Take ONE bite and the quarter meat was COLD and raw to the bite. Disgusting. We start eating the fries and half of them look very undercooked. I call the store to ask for a refund, I speak with Brittney. From the start very unprofessional and rude. Started getting an attitude over the phone when I was explaining the situation. In management you are PROFESSIONAL regardless of the industry. After finally getting my words out and asked for a refund she asked if I was coming in today or tomorrow. That was it. Absolutely horrible management and service. If I could give a zero star...
