Visited Minnesota for the weekend, and my family and I got a taste for some Subway. This one happened to be in a Walmart, which was convenient since we needed to get some things, too. However, when I went in to get two make-your-own footlongs, I asked if $15 was alright for them since that's what my dad sent me in with. The lady said no and offered two 6-inch's instead. My sister brought in an extra $20, so I asked if the $35 was enough for two footlongs now, and the lady gave me a look like I'd insulted her. Then, she started to get frustrated and started hastily making the extra 6-inch's to make the two footlongs and started tell me, "you want two footlongs, right? right?" however the question seemed rhetorical and insulting. She rang up the sandwiches, I paid, and my sister and I left. I'd only actually bought the sandwiches because I felt bad, and she may have been having a bad day. I didn't want to upset her more and waste her time. She had charged $26 for BOTH bloody sandwiches. I'm not upset with her for the cost, since she can't control the pricing, but $13 for a sandwich is genuinely ridiculous. This isn't even inflation anymore, this is actual fraud. Read moreI asked to make it a meal and she chose to make it a large meal without confirming I wanted it. But saw me grab a smaller pop and didn't say anything. So I go back up with my receipt to Andrew the assistant manager and let him know the mistake. He refused to give me the correct size cup even with the receipt because then I "would have two sodas" (his words). I of course, as any sensible person would and as I was about to any way, set my cup with pop in it down on the counter and grabbed the correct size. It was their mistake!! A pop that was already made sure to their mistake is pennies to them for MY TROUBLE of missing my meal to correct their mistake while my children were eating and eventually finished before me. This visit has left me definitely heading over to the other subway on Portland from now on. Terrible customer service! At least this time the sandwiches were made correctly, just wish they'd actually cut them...
Read moreNot a very good experience at this Subway. The staff were not very helpful, or fast. They had signage for specials that they didn't honor and ended up changing a lot more for. If you happen to need a sandwich and are at this Wal-Mart, it's convenient for sure. But there's another standalone Subway location at the next intersection that might provide better...
