my partner and I went out last weekend and I got the chicken pad Thai, medium, she ordered the General Tso's chicken and broccoli.
normally, when I go out, I tried to avoid soft drinks/carbonated beverages, as well as Youngstown city tapwater, But my partner opted out for a A&W root beer in and can and I got the D.4 Iced coffee drink and let me tell you, as someone who religiously enjoys Dunkin’ Donuts lattes, the D4 is a considerable type beverage in which they bring the coffee out to you in a traditional steamer, however, the waitress we had was kind enough to show us the proper way to serve it as I am unaware of the culture. Halfway into the coffee drink, I was ordering a second one because both my partner and I loved it, we got the crab Rangoon as an appetizer and as always, that was great.
then our entrées came, and with the exception of me forgetting to order without green onions (100% my fault), the dishes were served perfect, the portions...
Read moreI came in on a Sunday, expecting to be the only one there, but it turned out the place was pretty busy! The dining room is very inviting, with a waterfall and walls of water columns with synchronized bubbles dancing around. I knew right away this place was good. I got the hot and sour soup, which was very good, great flavor and nice portion for a small, although but not as hot temperature wise as I would've liked, I like my soup near boiling temp lol I also had the spring rolls which were very fresh tasting, with a nice crunch of the lettuce. The special lo mein was hands down one of the best lo meins I've had. Great depth of flavor, plenty of proteins, fresh and delicious. The girl serving me was very nice, was overwhelmed with the number of guests in the dining room, but still was able to get everything brought to the table at the appropriate time. Can't wait until I'm in the area again to give this great place...
Read moreThe boba tea and food is good but my last experience at Pho Saigon made me not want to come back. Lunch prices are supposedly until 2pm on certain days. I came in at 1:45 to order 4 lunch specials along with a side of lo-mein because it couldn’t be substituted for rice, and two boba teas for take out, thinking I’d be charged a total of $35 tops after looking at the menu. The total came to $67. It was before 2pm, and I was charged for 4 meals at dinner prices ($10.95+ for each). I assume I was charged $10+ for the lo-mein as well. Just really disappointing. There are better places who won’t charge me dinner prices before lunch is over. Also the pho and general Taos chicken are decent at best. I feel like I was taken advantage of. The one thing I’ll miss about Pho Saigon is being able to get boba tea...
