This letter serves to request a refund on the two items I purchased while sitting at the bar in your restaurant on April 21, 2022. Check number 2361; Jose was the bartender. I did not appreciate how Jose responded to me when I asked if my Mac And Cheese could be remade with less cheese. He told me that I'm the first to dislike the amount of cheese, saying, "the reason it's the top seller is because of the large amount of cheese," as if I don't have the right to my individuality. It wasn't very pleasant. I'm sure some people would love an overload of cheese. Does that mean that every person is going to like such? I'm addicted to Mac And Cheese, but a bite into your dish felt like three times more cheese than pasta. Again, I'm sure that some people love that, which is fine. But why try to shame someone for wanting an average amount of cheese in their Mac dish?? His response was just woefully strange and made me feel unappreciated as a guest. He said it has been everyone's favorite side item for years, and the recipe will never change because everyone knows it's delicious. He doesn't respect individual preferences and shouldn't be providing dining services. I was not going to eat the Mac And Cheese, so I asked for a to-go box to take it to someone else. I boxed the Mac and the bread pudding dessert I had ordered. I accidentally left them there.
The following night, April 22, 2022, I returned to your restaurant to order a filet mignon with a different side item. The same bartender asked, "why are you back? You don't like the food; you don't like the server." It was around 9:30 PM, and I was confused about why he spoke to me with such displeasure AGAIN. Then he said, "you left your food last night, I ran outside to catch you, but you were gone." You can review the cameras for yourself to confirm that as a lie because I stood outside your restaurant directly in front of the door for nearly two hours talking to your valet guy. Please review the cameras to confirm. I was wearing a USA flag dress, and I walked outside shortly after 9 PM on April 21. There is no way that Jose ran out to catch me when cameras and the owner of the valet company can confirm that I stood outside talking to him for over an hour. I need a valet company for my condominium, so when he told me that he's the owner, we held a long conversation.
Well, I was not in the mood to argue with Jose, I also did not appreciate being asked why I was back at the restaurant, and I didn't like how he replied the night before when I asked for my Mac And Cheese to be made with less cheese. It was a delicious dish, I just found it too cheesy for MY likings. I ordered for myself, not for the millions of others whom Jose said loves the large amount of cheese. Being that I was completely turned off by Jose's outright lie of running after me and his obvious displeasure towards me, I said "you're right, I don't need to eat here" and left the restaurant.
So I am requesting a refund in the amount of $37.77 for the dessert and side item that I purchased on April 21, 2022. Check number has the time of 8:49 PM and...
Read moreI have been eating at Abe and Louise for many years now as my office is right across the street I am a financial advisor and I entertain clients there and I used to put Financial seminars on there The food is of good quality which is why I eat there. However, I grew my business over 35 years with integrity, customer service and doing the right thing. So a few months back I ordered from Uber eats. When I open the shrimp cocktail I noticed there were only three shrimp. I definitely know how to count as I was a finance major at University of Florida and I am a financial advisor. I thought that was a little strange as I always remembered getting four shrimp but I figured maybe with the cost of shrimp going up only 10%.(other items went up a lot more than Shrimp.)So I never said anything because it’s embarrassing to call but when I ordered directly from the restaurant last night I said I am curious does your shrimp cocktail come with three shrimps or four shrimps for $25. They told me it comes with four shrimps and at that point I mentioned the last time I ordered from Uber eats I only received three shrimps in my order. I said you really should do the right thing and give me another shrimp as your kitchen made the mistake and I only received three. When I brought my car into the Porsche dealer and paid for four new tires they gave me four new tires not three. (I make close to $1 million a year and I certainly do not mind paying for the shrimp.) so the woman who took my order said she will talk to management. My girlfriend picked up the order for me and when I opened it up I was kinda surprised that they didn’t do the right thing and throw an extra shrimp in there. I gave them the opportunity to do what’s right. And I was completely ignored. Well, that was your management decision and my management decision is to never take a client to your restaurant again. I do have other choices I can go to New York prime I can go to Morton’s steakhouse I can go to many other restaurants to entertain clients and when my daughter starts her seminars next year in the financial services industry I certainly will not look at Abe and Louie’s. I refuse to do business with companies that lack integrity as integrity is how I built my whole business. That is a classic example of Pennywise and Dollar foolish. And by the way my sister owns six restaurants and if that occurred in any of her restaurants she would’ve done the right thing in a heartbeat and also look at it as an opportunity to make them shine. Instead when my clients ask me where to go to lunch I will no longer direct them to Abe...
Read moreIf you want the authentic Steak House experience, this is it. My lady, Chef Birgit, is talented, outspoken and not easily impressed. I took her to Boca Raton for her birthday weekend this year and wanted to wow her. She loves a great steak but claims she hasn't had one since she left NY. I'd never been to Abe & Louie's, but remembered them from years ago in Boston and made a reservation for Saturday night. Don't bother parking, the valet will welcome you at the door. Our hostess welcomed us immediately and showed us to a not especially private or cozy table and Birgit pointed our a booth she found more inviting. The booth was set for us and we were seated in less than 2 minutes. Our iced tea was quick, refreshing and delicious. We don't do big portions, and didn't want to bother with leftovers at our hotel, so we opted to share everything, the delightful Tuna Tartar and the big Abe & Louie's Salad. Birgit loved the dressing! Our waitress was professional, helpful, friendly and answered our many questions in accurate and understandable terms. I ordered dinner for both of us to share. Bone in Rib Eye, au poivre, with sautéed spinach, (perfect texture and sauce!), and, this you must not miss!, Whipped Pureed Cauliflower. Birgit has since recreated the cauliflower dish and we will never return to potatoes! Outstanding! The aroma of our Rib eye was irresistible, so I cut into the perfectly seared, juicy eye and passed the first morsel to Birgit. Almost immediately, I watched her eyebrows rise and she could not conceal the smile as she chewed, no, savored, the first great steak she's tasted since NY! We leisurely cleaned every bit off our plates and thoroughly enjoyed every delicious bite. I ordered coffees with espresso when our plates were sadly taken from the table and our waitress winked and ran off for the coffees while Birgit considered dessert. She returned with a big, beautiful, sinful slice of Chocolate Cake with a burning Birthday candle making our after dinner coffee even more perfect and Birgit's Birthday dinner the most Wow she's had since she left New York. Thank you, Abe and Louie's! Leather, wood, warm lighting, soft music, impeccable service, relaxing, comfortable, simply elegant Steak House done right! Chef Birgit is impressed, my birthday is coming up and I, we,...
