Poke Bros. — Restaurant in Bolingbrook

Just got back from a California/Arizona vacation where I discovered poke and spent my time eating at every poke restaurant I could find. I was pretty excited to come home and find a newly opened local poke restaurant to try out! I checked out the online menu, saw a really delicious looking spring mix salad bowl option and put in an order. Pick up was easy and the employee at the store was very friendly. Got home and popped the lid off my bowl to find a disappointing bowl filled with... iceberg lettuce. I was also expecting kani salad as a topping (that's what the other 4 poke restaurants I've been to offer) but it was just plain shredded imitation krab. To be fair, this restaurant does offer kani salad as a side. The krab was an order fail on me - had I ordered in person, I would have seen the krab wasn't anything special and I would have skipped it. The bowl itself was full of fresh, nicely prepared ingredients. I ordered salmon (my favorite) as my protein, it was alright. The flavor and texture of the fish was just.... different than raw salmon I've had everywhere else. All my veggie toppings were fresh, crisp and delicious. I'll probably give this place another go in a few weeks and try a protein that isn't salmon. Hopefully they will offer spring mix for their salad...

Poke is so fun! And This location is great. Staff is very, very friendly, which keeps me going back. And... I can't help but compare this location to certain other Poke Bros locations--and this is the friendliest I've encountered! Food tastes good. Fresh fish -- most importantly -- and fun toppings. They also have a rewards program -- a free bowl after 10 purchases. But really, the friendly staff is what makes the experience great for me. I also witnessed staff giving (free) candies to kiddos. Will never be supporting their business again. Got the punch card for 1 free meal after 10 meals, got 8 punches from Bolingbrook and last 2 from Naperville. Neither store would honor my free meal and neither store told me they’re separate and would need separate punch cards. Naperville even told me on my 10th punch that I would q need to get the free meal from Bolingbrook. Why would naperville give me my last two punches if they knew Bolingbrook wouldn’t accept. This was very poor...
