Five Guys — Restaurant in Bolingbrook

I'm not a huge burger fan, but my husband loves Five Guys. I normally get a sautéed veggie sandwich, but decided to try a burger today. I got a cheeseburger, and like that you can customize your toppings. The cheese was melty, the patties were hot, and they have sesame seed buns which I appreciate. The fries are fried in peanut oil, and there are complimentary peanuts up by the counter - beware those who are allergic. Staff were friendly enough, but when we came in there was only one girl working at the lunch rush. A couple more people came in and as soon as it died down, they began cleaning the dining room. It was pretty clean for a faster food joint. They have Coca Cola Freestyle machines. It was $30 and change for my husband and I to both get burgers, 1 regular fry, 1 milkshake, and 1 Coke. I had a major food baby by the time we left and we couldn't finish the fries. Yes, it's more expensive than BK or McDonald's, but the burgers are a good size. I'll probably skip the fries next time, they weren't my favorite. Overall, I'd recommend it and...

❌ Worst experience I’ve had in a long time.

I don’t know what happened to this place, but both the service and quality have completely gone downhill. • 40 minutes of waiting just to see them start preparing my order. No apology, no explanation. • The burger was a joke: patty burned and dry like a shoe sole, with nothing inside except one sad slice of tomato. That’s it. For the price they charge, this is beyond embarrassing. • The fries? A total rip-off. They came in a tiny cup, literally smaller than what kids get in a Happy Meal.

💸 At the end, it felt like I paid for a “restaurant” but got food worse than the cheapest fast food joint.

I ordered from this location via doordash. I called before they even started making the burger and asked for mustard and ketchup on the side.

When I got the order I saw no ketchup or mustard. I also saw that they skimped on the fries. Usually five guys gives a heaping amount of fries if you order a large cajun or regular fry.

They gave me just a little bit more than the large cup could hold and were over salted….

When I called the manager he basically did nothing and said they didn’t have packets. He then said I could come up and get the ketchup/mustard in a cup. If that’s the case why didn’t I get that in the bag???

This five guys needs new management/employees. They are not giving a five guys experience that this company...
