Bricco is an incredible restaurant that both residents of Mass and visitors from out of state must go to if they are in the North End. From hospitality, decor and food you are given the best experience possible, below I'll detail the experience:
Service: When I first walked in I was greeted by two hostesses Stephanie and Claire whom were very welcoming and friendly. Even with wearing mask, you could tell that they were happy to greet you which always serves as a great introduction to any restaurant.
After being seated by Claire I was greeted by my server Wolmar who offered the same genuine hospitality and service. Wolmar informed me that he was very well versed in the wines and if I needed assistance to let him know. I asked him for a nice white to enjoy while waiting for a friend and a red later that evening to go with my wild boar Pappardelle, both were excellent choices and the red paired beautifully with the pasta.
Throughout the course of evening my friend and I were also being taken care of by two assistant servers Darwin and Alexander. They provided the same hospitality and genuine care as everyone, never feeling overbearing with their service. Darwin also took initiative to inform me of the location of the rest rooms when I was wandering around trying to find it. A proper shout out to Darwin on his first day for providing top tier service and anticipating guest needs!
Finally at the end of the meal, I had a chance to meet Nick the GM. His demeanor and professionalism showed exactly why the staff are genuine, welcoming and attentive as he reflected these qualities as well.
Decor: The decor for Bricco is nice and bridges a gap between a fine dining Italian restaurant with a contemporary modern look. It fosters a warm and relaxing setting that can be a great spot for an after work meal with friends/family or a romantic night out. Noise wise it was just the right tone for setting up a lively experience while also being able to speak with my friend
Food: The food matches the service and all the dishes we had stayed true to true Italian food, simple done to perfection. I wish I knew the names of the Cooks/Chef's that worked that evening as the food they prepared was perfectly cooked and made with a lot of heart which an amazing thing to see/taste. I included the pictures and names of some of the dishes below:
Certified Angus Dry Aged Beef Carpaccio Zucchini Flowers Pappardelle al Cinghiale Mallard Duck Duetto Bread Pudding (daily dessert)
To close I recommend if you are in the North End and are looking for place to have dinner go to Bricco, no matter what the occasion you will not be...
Read moreI booked a table for my girlfriend and I almost two weeks prior to coming to Briccos. Under the “notes or requests” section for the online reservation all that I asked was to not be seated near door (it is winter and it’s very cold so I was just trying to eliminate the possibility of being blasted with cold air every time someone came through the door). When we arrived for our reservation we were met with two women standing at the receptionist desk, who both laughed to one another before asking us if we were okay with sitting right next to the door because “it was the only table they had left”. When I make a reservation somewhere last minute I guess I can understand when things don’t go exactly to plan, but given that I had done it so far in advance I don’t understand why this is something that occurred. I had high expectations for this place and while it was nice inside, I was disappointed by more than just the seating arrangement. Their food really was not that good, my dish tasted alright but my girlfriend said her pasta tasted like spaghettios. As well as the espresso martini tasting like it was made with old coffee and chocolate milk…and being 22 dollars a drink. There was also an employee in the restaurant who was very fond of the group of ladies sitting next to us and it seemed like he never left the side of their table. Sometimes bumping into my girlfriend (and not apologizing), and just overall making it feel like less of an intimate experience between her and I. I don’t write reviews for restaurants often but this was honestly a poor performance for an above average restaurant. My girlfriend and I agreed we have had better experiences at...

This is the second time we've eaten at Bricco in the last 3 years and it did not disappoint.
We took our friends who were traveling with us. We had a 6:16pm reservation for a Saturday night in September and the place was super busy. We checked in and got seated right away - upstairs. I knew my wife wouldn't be happy with having climb the stairs but what was nice up there was that it was much less noisier than the main level.
Alex was our server and she was fun and great.
We started with drinks and the included bread. Two of us had wine and two of us had Old-fashioneds. They muddle their fruit here. Not my preference but it the drinks ended up being 'okay'. The bread was soft and the spreads offered were tasty.
We ordered our dinners as follows: Beef Short Rib on Mashed Potatoes (I subbed the potatoes as polenta was standard) Sea Bass on a Potato Cake 8oz Beef Tenderloin Filet Salmon Side: Creamed Parmesan Spinach Side: Roasted Brussels Sprouts Side: Gnocchi with Lobster
My Beef Short Rib was amazingly tender and tasty. My wife's Sea Bass was probably the best her or I have ever had. The preparation was unusual and amazing. My friend's Beef Filet was so tasty and tender - likely Prime grade. I did try my friend's wife's Salmon but she enjoyed it.
We were too full to try any of Bricco's dessert but had I had room, I was considering their Bread Pudding.
In our experience, reservations are a must for dinner at Bricco. If you're going all out, each ordering their own meal and some sides, it's going to be $$$. Knowing that going it - it was an...
