SPOILER ALERT: 5 STARS, GLOWING REVIEW! Story for context
I'm not around this area too often, so I didn't know what to expect when I pulled into this drive Dunkin' that sits right smack in the middle of a busy road. When I pulled in, the line for the drive-thru window was long; it seemed like there was one large order at the front of the line holding everything up, and it was already a hot summer day. Not surprisingly, this Dunkin' was slammed. We were sitting for about 5 minutes when the customer in front of us in line decided to drive away, after having already ordered his food. We decided to stick it out.
After waiting about 15 minutes, we eventually made it to the front of the line, where of course we were handed the order that once belonged to the person ahead of us who was so impatient that they left the line. We explained that our order was the next one. And here is where this Dunkin' run became TRULY magical.
Without hesitation, the woman working the window let us know that we could have the extra order for free, since it'd be going to waste anyways. We were elated, because it was so hot and that mango refresher was looking like a dream. So grateful for this gesture.
It got better -- this worker then noticed that we had a dog in the backseat. Knowing that we'd been waiting for a while already, she kindly offered me 3 free plain munchkins for my dog! Of course I accepted her offer, and it made my dog's day.
We finally got our order and drove off, about 17-18 minutes after arriving. If we had received the bare minimum customer service, this longer-than-average Dunkin' run might have really ruined my mood. But due to the EXCEPTIONAL, friendly, generous, and accommodating customer service we received, it turned into one of the most memorable and gratifying Dunkin' runs I've ever been on. I cannot wait to return to Morrissey Blvd Dunkin'...

UPDATE: Honestly, the renovations were worth it, but when it comes to training crew members, it seems like they could use a refresher course. Some of the staff know what they're doing and perhaps they should help the ones who don't know where they should be or what they should do unless some staff don't care enough to jump to it in that case then they should reevaluate their crew. There were more staff over at the drive-thru side of the store versus the front counter. There was like 1 staff member, which doesn't make sense, obviously. Also my order came last as I was watching other customers who ordered long after getting their orders and to top it off my order just was not done correctly 1st wrong size and least that was corrected and it did not look like a Caramel Craze Signature Ice Latte and definitely did not taste like anything not a hint of espresso which is strong tasting and dark on color. It looked and tasted only like milk. I even inquired about it, and yet they insisted they did it correctly. I know that as a previous employee who has worked for a few different Dunkins & other coffee shops, as well as a customer for years, I know it for a fact it was not done correctly. As the saying goes, "the customer is always right." I just felt it was a waste of time & money. At least they got the Medium hot coffee and donut, right? 🙄 I have been coming to the Morrissey location for decades since it opened, yet honestly, this location is slipping again. Sorry to say, but it's the truth. I'm not the only one either. This includes other local...
Read moreI've always enjoyed coming to Morrissey. It's a memorable location for me. I can recall coming here on a daily basis, especially around the early 2000s, since my friends were obsessed with the "coffee coolatta's," which now they're referred to as a frozen coffee. I think they taste totally different, though, unfortunately. Also, I knew a few girlfriends from the neighborhood who started working here, which this place gave them their 1st jobs throughout high school. I would tend to visit them. They had worked their way up and became the best crew members this place had for years. They knew what they were doing and were always on point. They had things running smoothly... and got promoted over time. Throughout the years, more of my friends worked at this location. Plus, me and my friends from school and I would love to come here to just sit inside, enjoying our drinks ☕ plus donuts 🍩. It was good times with plenty of jokes and laughter! Update: Now it's been re-renovated and looks a bit more fancy now with the bakery window and coffee taps plus mobile ordering. I love their slogo on the wall, stating, "Dorchester runs on Dunkin." Plus, one of the few dunks to stay open 24/7 with a drive-thru. You can dine in or dine out meaning at 1 of the 2 umbrella covered tables in front, which is nice to do, esp if you have kids, and it's a nice...
