South Asian/Middle Eastern-inspired cafe that brings a refreshing concept to JP, but its execution feels like a work in progress.

Came here for breakfast and lunch this past week. On my first visit for breakfast, I opted for the pistachio butter toast and Breakfast Sammy. The toast had a promising start — the nutty richness of pistachio butter paired beautifully with fragrant rose petals. Yet, the tartness tipped the balance and made it difficult to finish without the grounding comfort of their turmeric latte. As for the Breakfast Sammy, it was a solid option. The focaccia was fine, though not my personal favorite for a sandwich base, and I found myself wishing for a more generous slather of Calabrian chili butter to elevate the flavors.

I then returned with a friend for lunch and tried the Turkish-style eggs and Chicken & Rice. The Turkish eggs was essentially a deconstructed breakfast pita — jammy eggs, garlic labneh, and Aleppo pepper oil delivered on comfort but lacked a distinctive twist. Meanwhile, the Chicken & Rice offered a satisfying salad-rice bowl hybrid. The peanut ginger marinade added a nice twist, yet the dish was oddly similar to something I tasted from DIG.

Overall, the cafe undoubtedly has potential, with thoughtful touches and a welcoming vibe. Not sure if I would return just for the food, but definitely a great spot to casually hang out...

Decor was lovely. Cafe was buzzing with activity. Unfortunately, we would not recommend the breakfast sandwich which consisted of delicious/thick but un-toasted bread, a very healthy dose of aioli, a few strands of arugula, a piece of cheese that was not warmed or melted, and some bits of shredded (jammy?) egg that disappeared into the aioli and bread. I would be surprised if there was a full egg spread across the two halves of thick bread. The aioli was definitely the star of the sandwich as there was a lot of it. Aioli had a bit of a kick to it which was nice. Drinks (chai latte and cortado - both with oat milk) were average. No latte art on the cortado. Green glasses for water were very cute. Not likely to go back. If you’re looking for a breakfast sandwich that truly shines, try Fornax in Roslindale and ask for the ciabatta. Also partial to the breakfast sandwich (and cafe beverages) at...

Found myself wandering around the eclectic streets of Jamaica Plain and stumbled upon Jadu. As soon as I entered I was immersed in the spellbinding aroma and their curated music playlist, which whisked me away on a melodious journey. 🎶

Jadu is a haven for cozy vibes and soulful sips. ☕️✨

First up, let's talk about their Pistachio Toast. 🥖 Oh my, it's a little piece of heaven on a plate! Encrusted with vibrant pistachios, the toast is crisp on the outside and perfectly complemented by a luscious spread. It's like crunching into a cheerful melody of flavors! 🤤

Now for the showstopper—the Cardamom and Clove Latte. ☁️☕️ Prepare for your taste buds to tango! The aromatic blend of cardamom and clove takes your classic latte on a spicy and warming adventure. Each sip feels like a cozy hug on a chilly Boston day. ☕️💫

Treat yourself and stop by to experience this delightful...

Such a cute gem in JP! Jada is a beautiful cafe that feels so light and bright and welcoming. All their food looks so beautiful and is actually unique and flavorful! The savory oats were an excellent start to the day, the jammy eggs melding perfectly with the chili crisp and miso flavors. The staff were also so nice, and I love that they have a few tables kept as laptop-free, making it a nice mix of people working or just chatting/reading. My only slight fault is the Maple Ginger Latte. A good drink, just really no maple or ginger flavor, just a good latte. Still, I would absolutely recommend coming here to hang out for a few hours, and don’t pass on the food!
