"La Famiglia Giorgio's" is an example that I believe all Italian restaurants should follow. This restaurant has a lot going for it however before I go and wash it with praise I want to state one large negative; the wait. Depending on the time of day, and for most of you it will be during the prime peak hours for the locale, you will find yourself standing in front of the establishment dumbfounded. That is because the crowd of waiting hungry bodies that are standing in front of this establishment have already signed their names to a list and are just waiting to be called. For the few not in the know, this could result in people standing in a nonexistent line expecting service that will never come all because there is no visible sign that indicates to sign your name. During my 40 minute wait, I noticed 2 groups of people who were just waiting and needed to be informed that if they didn't sign there name they would be there till the end of time. That aside the experience was wonderful even the wait. The streets of a Boston's North End are some of the city's oldest. Waiting outside feels more like a club environment, and in the right weather with the right people the time flys. When entering the place of business you are given two seating locations, an upper and primary floor. My guide asked for the base floor, according to him the main floor is warmer to the eyes and has a more traditional aesthetic while the second floor is more modern and distant. The photos I took are of the main floor, take note of all the wood. Let's talk about the food, it was fantastic. I ordered the Veal parmesan, with a red sauce, and penne. I was more than satisfied. As is normal for me I could not finish the plate, however, I could not make a dent in this plate, at most I only finished a fifth of the meal. This wasn't all noodle either, the pieces of veal were so large it might have been the entire calf on my plate. However let's assume you don't like veal or red sauce, or penne understood. The menu has a list of sauces, meats, and kinds of pasta you can choose from. And not too pricey either. In the end, I won't call the place cheap, but I won't say it for high rollers only. I think at best the pricing here is like an expensive dinner, and for many good reasons. "La Famiglia Giorgio's" is a fantastic experience, and not just for the taste buds. I recommend any who are in the area to check this place out. Just remember to sign your name at the door.

Looking for an authentic italian dining experience? Look no further as La Famiglia Giorgio's has it with a nice theme throughout the restaurant giving that old cozy family italian kitchen vibe with the tunes playing the background to match. Onto what everyone is here for though the food you are greeted by your server who will bring over water for everyone at the table followed up by some lovely bread and olive oil a satisfying bite while you browse the plentiful menu of food options they have. Today we ordered Mozzarella cheese sticks and I will say they are one of the places that gets them done right if you know what I mean I'll leave that at that as I don't want to go on a rant of how many places get those wrong. We followed that by an order of Antipasto salad this dish is large enough for about 4-6 people easily ....that my wife and company all rated in agreement really good. As for the main course today I went with the Chicken Parmigiana paired with house made angel hair pasta let me warn you this is a large dish the plate will come with the entire plate covered by pasta with two large breaded chicken breast on top it was an excellent chicken parmesan and I would definitely order it again this time making sure I come ready with a large appetite. I paired this with a peroni beer that will be served from the bottle with a chilled glass this is an italian brewed beer that I believe will pair well with any dish they have to offer. My wife went with a chicken alfredo and penne pasta with broccoli it was of her opinion that the alferdo sauce was to watery other than that she did enjoy the meal. For dessert which we definitely had to wait a little bit for we decided to go with peanut butter ice cream cake while it was certainly a delicious treat after dinner I was expecting a little more from it as it seemed essentially like a frozen ice cream cake of vanilla and chocolate. Decided to pair this with a nice cappuccino and wow that was another excellent choice very well balanced italian delight. Overall I recommend anyone looking for some italian cuisine to stop by and give La Familia Giorgio's a try I am sure you won't be disappointed but a word for the wise the plates are more than sharable for sure.

We visited this restaurant minutes after they opened. Their menu posted outside gives a family history of being treated as family. That sounded good. At least on paper. Hindsight we should have we should have found another restaurant . A young hostess seated us in the back of the restaurant next to the kitchen and the bathrooms. There were no other patrons in the restaurant at this time, We asked for a window seat up front with better lighting and were told that all of those tables, at least 5 or 6 in number were reserved. That turned out not to be the case at least for the 40 or 45 minutes we spent at the restaurant. Our waiter was very polite. We ordered two glasses of Chianti for $13 each.. No comment on quality of wine. Bread and olive oil were placed on table. Bread was not fresh, olive oil was just ok. Husband ordered Eggplant Parmigano. He did enjoy it. The portion was large enough so that he could take 1/2 home. That was as advertised. I have dietary restrictions for gluten, nightshades and sugar which were explained to waiter prior to ordering. I ordered the scallop appetizer because description said it was a light Alfredo sauce on a bed of spinach. It was a generous portion of 6 scallops though they and the spinach leaves were swimming in a very sweet Balsamic glacé and a very sweet maple tasting sauce that tasted nothing like Alfredo. Not as described. We ate our entire meal on a tiny table close to the kitchen staff and bathrooms while the entire restaurant was empty and the window seats were still available! Window seats should be on a first come first serve ?.. especially when the restaurant had just opened and literally no one was there. That’s not how I would choose to make people feel at home. The bill was $79 for one entre, one appetizer and 2 glasses of Chianti. We tipped our server $21. Hard to recommend with so many other amazing restaurants in the North End to choose from. This was our last night in town. Experience was disappointing.
