New York Shawarma Guys — Restaurant in Boston

My friend and I were looking for a spot to get some dinner before a Celtics game and we were walking by New York Shawarma Guys on the way to the arena and decided to go there. We were there under an hour before tip off and it wasn’t overly busy which was nice!

I ordered the lamb shawarma wrap and forgot to ask for it to be spicy, but they gave me some hot sauce on the side. The wrap was made very quickly and was tasty with a good portion of lamb. It was a pretty big wrap and left me feeling full by the time I finished it. The beef in my buddy’s falafel and beef shawarma wrap had some pieces that were pretty tough, but the shawarma wraps were good overall.

When I asked about the deal that I saw on a sign out front to get a drink for free when you order a Shawarma wrap, I was told that that was just for lunch but I could grab a can of soda anyway, which was really kind of them. The service was great!

Hard to beat for $12 each downtown Boston!...

Go for: Fast, hearty, delicious shawarma wraps - and not much else.

Avoid if: Their menu options are in the name. If you're looking for a big menu with lots of options, seek elsewhere.

Something surprising: 3/5. Given the location right above North Station and TD Garden, the prices were reasonable.

Overall Experience: It was pretty much what you'd expect from a East Coast sandwich/pita shop. Despite the small menu, the options were still somehow confusing. Either way, you'll have your food in hand in less than 7 minutes if it's not busy. The interior could use a refresh, but maybe that's part of its character.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the shawarma at New York Shawarma, and I have to say it was truly amazing. The meat was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful, and the toppings and sauces were fresh and added just the right amount of additional flavor. The portion size was generous and I left feeling satisfied and full.

I also really appreciated the friendly and efficient service from the staff. They were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu and made the whole experience enjoyable.

Overall, I would highly recommend New York Shawarma to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. The food is top-notch and the service is excellent. I will definitely be returning...
