edit: The reply i got to this review from the owner is EXTREMELY disappointing and frankly rude and unprofessional. He claims that i didnt do my “research” but i dont think he did his. So heres mine:

the art is undeniably Ai. as you can see she doesn’t even have a correct amount of fingers. and the little girls shoelaces are fused together. a real artist would not make these mistakes. not only that but the artstyle is obviously Ai. The Website is also covered in Ai. NOT ONLY that but I have been able to find the art online as well. You also should probably name the artist if you did get it done from one.

My advice is if you truly DID pay for the art i recommend you get a refund from that “distinguished artist” because you’ve been scammed as that art is stolen and ai, unless you were lying in your reply.

I've never understood any business that tries to sell something where you purchase it based on artisanal authenticity and high-quality...but the uses AI which expresses the opposite. so believe me when i say, YOUNG PEOPLE HATE AI ART.

It's just insane for a mom and pop restaurant or bakery to have AI pictures. You are selling your food as being non-corporate, not like everybody else's!

Some may read and think: why does it matter if they use ai? The answer is that it’s indicative of a business trying to cut costs in anyway they can. if you start a business you have to buy stuff and consider your costs, which includes hiring someone to do art/photography or just have basic signs up. Any business obsessed with cost cutting to the point they put AI around their establishment isn't one I would trust, especially when art is easy to find.

AND TO MAKE THINGS WORSE, I have also found most of the food pictures this place uses to advertise were all ripped from random online sources as well. which i believe breaks false advertising rules because thats not even what your food is.

IHAVE PROVIDED ALL PROOF IN THE PICTURES IF THIS REVIEW.

ALSO to double down after i said the foods a little bland by saying “it’s supposed to be” is quite an insane response. It’s your job to make food taste good not mine to ask you to do that after the fact.

It is also your job to be able to take constructive criticism. It's weird to get super defensive, and call the person pointing you out to be a “judgmental” liar and throw a temper tantrum arguing with everything i said. ESPECIALLY since my review had absolutely no malice, was very kind hearted critique, and was even a 3/5 star review. very disappointing response.

Original Review: I believe this place has a lot of potential. and the prospect of having a good bagel spot 10 seconds out my door excites me.

I have had their food twice now. Their matcha lattes are pretty good both times. but i find the food to be sort of bland. I got a turkey egg and cheese and normal egg and cheese. i think both times the egg was pretty under seasoned and could really benefit from a little more salt. and the turkey is also plain sliced turkey, perhaps could be enhanced with a sauce.

Service is great and they seem like nice people. who care about creating by a nice environment.

A BIG downside is this store is absolutely plastered in AI art and you can tell. this does not affect my general rating but it does ruin the vibe. I really hope they can see soon that Ai art looks very tacky to people especially the MUCH younger crowd in the area. would be great to see them use free human made stock images online or even commission some art from someone who hand draws. provided images of ai art

Regardless, I will continue eating here because i want this business to do well. Ive seen too many places on this street shut down within a year. I really hope that i can come back one day and happily increase my...
