Wow Tikka, nestled in Boston's vibrant Fenway area at 84 Peterborough St, offers a delightful twist on traditional Indian cuisine with its quick and casual dining setup. This spot stands out for its innovative approach to Indian food, making it both accessible and fun, perfect for a meal on the go. 🌟
The standout dish during my visit was the naan kati roll filled with chicken. It was bursting with flavors, showcasing a generous mix of spices and ingredients all tightly packed into a soft naan rollup. 🌯 The fusion of flavors and textures makes this dish a must-try for anyone craving a quick yet satisfying meal.
Accompanying the meal was their mango lassi, which offered a sweet and creamy respite from the spiced fare. 🥭 The naan pizza, another fusion creation, combined the comforting familiarity of pizza with the bold spices of Indian cuisine, creating an enjoyable and unique eating experience. 🍕
Wow Tikka's model of serving allows for a personalized dining experience, differentiating it from the typical family-style service found in many Indian restaurants. Their website aptly describes the setup as “Indian food made easy and fun,” and my experience echoed this sentiment. The affordability is another significant draw, with prices like $10 for a hearty bowl and $8 for a naan rollup kati offering great value. 💸
While the ambiance is simple, with a straightforward, no-frills setting reflecting its grab-and-go nature (rated 5/10), it’s the food quality and prices that truly shine here, with ratings of 8/10 and 9/10 respectively. 🌟 The only drawback is their limited delivery options, which unfortunately don't extend outside Boston—a minor inconvenience for those living farther away who are eager to enjoy what Wow Tikka has to offer. Overall, if you're in the Fenway area and looking for delicious, budget-friendly Indian meals with a creative twist, Wow Tikka is definitely worth...
Read moreWe've been pretty much dining here every weekend, driving all the way from Winchester. Fenway has a very special place in my heart - my husband and I called this neighborhood our first home after our marriage six years ago. To know that our old neighborhood now has an authentic Indian fast-food joint makes me happy, and gives the two of us more reasons to drive back here on the weekends. The make-your-own bowls are phenomenally good. As others have mentioned, the Indian curry-based sauces add so much depth and bring all the flavors together. The curried-chickpea adds a ton of flavor to the bowls, and the corn and beans add so much texture. Moving to the vada pavs - I think I can confidently say that this is one the best vada pavs I've had in ages. I would also argue that this might be even better than what one might find in some popular restaurants in Bombay. Samosas 10/10. Fresh, hot, and the two chutneys perfectly complement the dish. I must also mention that their madras cold coffee is an absolute delight. The decoction from which it's prepared can't get any better than this and is approved by my Tamilian husband who takes his filter coffee very seriously. I also had their turmeric chai latte, and was instantly reminded of India and my childhood days. If I had to define the flavors - think of it as malai (cream) badam (almond-infused) milk + turmeric milk and chai. Can't get any better. We also had the privilege of meeting one of their founders, Gopi and it was such a delight to meet someone who's so passionate about bringing Indian food to a global pedestal. We enjoyed our conversations with him and wish him all the best! All in all, Boston needed a food place (adda) like Wow Tikka and my foodie instincts tell me that they'll...

After having ordered delivery from this restaurant multiple times, I finally had the chance to visit and dine in. The bowl concepts at first glance seemed to resemble an Indian version of Qdoba/Chipotle. However, the quality and quantity of the food were far superior to any other restaurant in the vicinity. The paneer in my rice bowl was firm, yet crumbly, with a mild flavor and a moist, creamy texture. It seemed as though it was freshly made in-house with fresh milk.
Lastly, I was torn between ordering gulab jam (a sweet dish) or coffee, and ultimately decided to go for coffee. The flavor and thickness of the coffee reminded me of a pleasant Indian breeze, and I was thoroughly satisfied with my choice.
A recommendation for the restaurant would be to please refrain from adding tomatoes to the red beans dish as you do provide an option for tomatoes on the side. Additionally, while the coffee tasted good, it could be improved if it was slightly thicker.
Review 1 (Delivery Order)
I have ordered from this restaurant a couple of times and have really enjoyed the food, especially their tandoori sauce. I hope that their other sauces are equally as good. It appears to be a new restaurant, although I have yet to visit in-person. Nonetheless, I would like to express my gratitude for the high quality of food that is being maintained. Thank...
