Yeah made up story that, I JUST CAME UP WITH OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD AND NOT A REAL EXPERIENCE. PLEASE READ REPLY CAREFULLY. IT MAKES NO SENSE, AND SHE DOESN'T HAVE DETAILS TO BACK UP HER LIES. LIKE:TOLD I WAS GETTING A REFUND, SO I STARTED THREATS? WHAT THREATS? FOR $6 Bad business burner obviously bad
I went there to get a Chicago style hot dog and was wearing a mask, I waved at the person through the window. The lady came outside wearing mask and told me I had to order by phone or online. So I called to order (was told that they are not excepting cash), and while my food was being made two individuals not wearing masks went right up to the window and started asking if they were still open, the same lady that told me I had to order by phone or online opens the window to both individuals not wearing asks and starts to talk to them. There was very little space in between the people without masks and the all the food being prepared, again including mine. I asked them why they did that and the guy who brought my food out several minutes after just made excuses. So after throwing the food in the trash since they obviously do not follow Colorado Health Department regulations and COVID19 standards. I called and asked for a refund for the food, told them I did not eat it and why. The guy who answered said he would get the manager. A lady got on the phone claiming to be the manager and started yelling at me and making excuses to why I won't get a refund, and demanded in a very rude way that I never return! I was pretty shocked at how poorly they handled the situation and was just going to dispute it with my bank after hanging up since I didn't want to be yelled at in a rude manner anymore. She then called my phone back and said she wasn't trying to be rude, and that she would refund me for the food, she just needed a name. I gave her my name and told her I appreciate it and thank you. After a few minutes she called back yet again and told me she spoke with her boss after she claimed she was the boss earlier and that she would not give me my refund and then rudely hung-up on me before I had a chance to say anything (seems like they are bi-polar or something). So I called back and asked to speak with the boss and not the same lady. They boss lady got on the phone and said I would not get a refund, I asked her if she understood why I was asking for one, and explained the whole situation again about them opening the window to two individuals without masks/ face covering at all, pretty much with there heads inside the window where my food was being prepared. She started telling me things happened differently then they did, and that I didn't know what I was talking about and wasn't remembering correctly (even though it happened 10-15 minutes ago). She made excuses and started lying to me about there being a plastic barrier right inside the window, maybe there is now, maybe they put it up after my complaint, but there was no plastic barrier when I was there and when two people without masks were talking through the window. She also told me the two guys ordering wanted to pay by cash so that's why they opened the window. Which I was told I could not do and had to pay by credit card, she said they do that in some situations...like what? Didn't you just tell me all the signs on all your windows say you have to order and pay by phone or online? Meaning you have to pay with a credit card. Lying, rude, breaking health codes, and not a terrible place to go eat for more than a few reasons. I walked all the way from 28th and Pearl to eat and get a hot dog and enjoy it, but in return this is what I got. Taking the time due to the extent of this situation to warn EVERYONE AND ANYONE NOT TO EAT HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH, EXPERIENCE, MONEY, AND! I'm guessing the really rude lady and the lying manager/ boss of Mustard's Last Stand thought I was a passive and complacent person, but I have to say I am the exact opposite and will not stand by while businesses are poorly operated like this, especially when peoples health and lives...

I've been coming here since I was VERY little. I actually remember the day -- My mom and I were coming back from the Creek Festival, and it was raining and freezing cold! We walked past this place and it looked so warm and inviting, so we sat down and ate. And we've been going every since.
By far the best thing here is their Chicago Dog + Fries. I personally love to dip them in Thousand Island, someone taught us that years ago, and I've never gone back since when it comes to skin-on fries.
It's just one of my favorite places to sit, eat, and just chill for a little while.
If you're a vegetarian like my mother, the Tofu Reuben is to die for with grilled onions + sauerkraut + horseradish mustard. Honestly, I usually hate veggie/soy/vegan options, and fake meat, and I've always mooched off my vegetarian mom (who also usually hates soy meat) when it comes to this sandwich, it's that good. I actually prefer it to their burgers!
This review originally mentioned that the soda machines here are gross and seem never "clean". Any soda I'd gotten in the past tasted REALLY gross. But, here's the good news: They got a brand new soda machine that seems MUCH easier for them to clean, because I've gotten rootbeer a couple times now, and it was delicious!
Only downside still: Their vegetarian chili is the weirdest chili I've ever had. It's really sweet, its got way too much chili powder in it, and it just absolutely ruined the one time I tried a chili cheese dog here. Once again, vegetarian mother also did not like it. Not enough to warrant taking a star away I think since barely anyone probably orders it... just thought I'd give a fair warning!
Prices are... ehhh. Not bad but not great either. For a hot dog joint its a LITTLE expensive but again, relatively affordable if you're just getting a hotdog, fries, and a drink.
Other than that though, this place is a hidden gem. I'm surprised it's not completely packed with people 24/7. It's always pretty...
Read moreOh this wonderfully delicious place. In terms of food, It is one my all time guilty pleasures. For those who passing through Boulder it’s easy to miss. And parking can sometimes be difficult because of the small amount of spaces. But it is worth every inconvenience. It is situated right above Boulder creek so you can take your meal, eat and enjoy the view. This place has been here since as long as I have been born. If you are looking for an amazing Chicago style dog, you are in the right place. They also serve burgers, and some other items. But I just can’t go there and not grab two delicious dogs. With a great selection of condiments and greasy, heavenly fries, you really can’t go wrong. Unless you drop your bag of fries, which is a travesty. I would know because, I have felt this pain. I almost broke down. And even thought about digging in anyway (well not really but the pain is real). Luckily, returning to Mustard’s and explaining the atrocity I just committed. They hooked me up with a new bag of these delicious fries. The interior of the building is cute and pops with character. It honestly looks like a joint you would stop at in Chicago. I have been to many small place like this in my time living in Chicago. The interior has remained the same since I can remember. Mustard’s is just full of character. This place has been a Boulder staple that reaches back to the earlier days of Boulder, before it became so built up. Whether you are a local or just passing through, this...
