First let me start off with the positives. I have never had anything bad from MOD pizza, which can be attributed to the quality of the ingredients used. The staff for the most part exudes a high level of customer service, and makes a reasonable effort to ensure that your experience is memorable enough to warrant a return trip. Now the areas that need improvement: 1. The online order process needs to be cleaned up, too many times I have ordered and my the accuracy rate on my order has been less than 50 percent. I just visited last night and one of my pizza's was completely deleted off my order. Then they doubled down on the mistake and the toppings my wife requested were completely missing. While I don't expect 100 percent accuracy all of the time, what is frustrating is that the mistake gets compounded because it appears that they set unrealistic production times. For example, I have a family of five, so please don't tell me that my order will be ready in 20 minutes, when common sense points to every aspect of that not making sense. In addition, at times there are too many staff members just aimlessly walking around who appear to be aloof or completely disinterested in providing assistance. The restaurant has the potential to be a mainstay, but must clean up system failures in their...
Read moreWe attempted to order over the phone but they never answered and their answering machine didn't leave instructions or even declared themselves as MODPizza. So we ordered online instead.
When we arrived they were not busy but very disorganized. The person picking them up was not the one who ordered so he did not check the pizzas. We ended up with two of the same pizza which was a problem because one had been ordered without cheese due to a lactose intolerance so there was nothing for this person to eat... we couldn't even call to complain because you only get an answering machine that may or may not be theirs...
Not to mention their Veteran's Day Remembrance which was a JOKE. If a veteran came in and bought a pizza ON Veteran's Day they would give him or her a coupon that could be used within the next WEEK to get a free pizza. BOGO is a sales pitch not a "Thank You." They would have been better off giving veteran's a free cookie or something. My husband and I can't afford eating out twice a week even if one is 50% off.
They only got two stars instead of one because I actually do like their food but the service is unreasonable and not worth the trouble. Get...
Read moreI placed an order using the automated phone system and when I arrived at the time given my order was not at the Grab N Go section. So I went to counter and asked for the order under my name for the order. I was told my order was not in the system. I showed the manager the pending bank transaction to Mod’s of Bowie and was told my order is not in the system and there was nothing they could do. He did not offer to make my order, seeing the transaction to Mod’s of Bowie in my pending account history and declined to give me a refund because my order was not in the system. I was told to call the automated number to request a refund. I called the number and other than make a new order, I was re-directed to the store who again told me there was nothing they would do. I have been to this Mod’s location many times and have always enjoyed fabulous customer service and food. After this, I will NEVER go back to a place where I was treated poorly and robbed of my payment for something I did not receive. If 0 or negative stars was an option, that would...
