And because of this I will not return. I had to purchase another bowl only for them to mess it up again. The first time there was an error that no one would help to fix. They never gave me my first bowl I paid for, paid for two, so they took my money. I will take further measures with this matter.
I have had an almost ten year grudge against Tropical Smoothie Cafe. But now, I will break my strike and spend my money on them instead of Smoothie King. That is how bad my experience was. They were at least five people working there (on a Wednesday) and all of them are bullies picking on someone who is literally smaller than all of them and talking/laughing about me behind my back when I leave the store.
FYI when I had this experience I believe it was with the manager (or someone who projected as if they were them),who doesn’t deserve that position, as well. And I’ve NEVER had this experience before at this location when it was just two people in the shop when it is usually two, three people there it is excellent service, no complaints.
RUN FROM THIS PLACE.
Update: Good: Spoke to higher up. They remade my smoothie bowl for me which was nice, the damage was done, but I appreciated such. I was compensated also which I appreciated. Bad: However, upon hearing their alleged feedback; essentially: the employees tried to save themselves claiming that they did no such thing. It is also very convenient to treat a person that came in with smiles and kind greetings at first until they walked up to me and then all of you became silent. This is a typical hypocritical human tactic so, not surprised just disappointed in the lack of morals people choose to retain.
Verdict: Once again confirmed to me to never buy from Smoothie King again in my life. Tropical...

I gave a better review because they are always friendly and the atmosphere is always nice But today I have had enough. I will no longer be visiting this location because this has got to be the fourth bad experience that I’ve had at this location, but only the second review that I’ve written about it.
This is a long one…
Today I ordered my smoothie at 2 PM while I was still inside of the gym to be picked up at 2:45. I understand that things might get busy on a hot date like this so I gave the staff an extra 15 minutes before I actually went to pick up the smoothie in hopes that that was enough time for them to have it prepared. Inside is nowhere to be found they seem to have “misplaced my ticket“.. The lady on staff asked me several times “Did I order at the right location and what was my order”. I showed her my Order confirmation, she begins working on my smoothie, and the smoothie is finished blending in the ENTIRE staff walked to the back as my smoothie sits in the blender (after being done) for a little while until a young man runs out of the back and pours my smoothie into the cup.
My problem here is, I ordered 45 to an hour ahead of time and didn’t get it until WAY past the time it was supposed to be ready and no one seemed to have a sense of urgency once my smoothie was done being blended, even though I have been waiting well past the time…

Read moreI love the bowls at Smoothie King and have visited all the local areas to get one depending on where I am at the time of wanting one - Lanham, Upper Marlboro, Annapolis, and this Bowie location. I’ve had no issues with purchasing bowls except for this Bowie location. They make their bowls very cheap with less smoothie, granola and fruits. There’s also an issue with their smoothies melting drastically faster than other locations.
I brought up the lack of ingredients in my bowl to staff one day and he called over (who I assume was the) manager. She explained that this is how they measure their bowls. I told her that this was the only location that I’ve experience bowl like this, but she didn’t seem to care. I also preordered another day after my workout at LA Fitness hoping it might be done by the time I walk across the parking lot and when I picked up the bowl (no more than 15 mins after) the smoothie was half way melted. I brought it up to the staff and he explained that it was because it was preordered, but I explained that I had just ordered it and no concern was given. I attempted to order a few more times, hoping it would get better because the Bowie location is the most convenient location for me but I continued to get the same service.
