Carvel — Restaurant in Boynton Beach

My wife and I were there this past weekend. We have been there many times. I am hoping a manager see this specific complaint. My wife ordered one of the bowls with soft serve. She asked them to put in vanilla. Then she asked if the server could add some pistachio soft serve as well. She added some. When it came time to pay she charged us for the bowl (around 7.50) then she secretly added another charge for a small something (around 2.50) because she ended up adding more ice cream. I questioned this but she did not remove the charge. I could have refused to pay but did not want to make a scene. She could have told us it would cost more to add more ice cream. She could have charged a larger size. Instead she was stingy and then fraudulent by putting on a made up extra charge and without even telling us. This was petty, cheap, and dishonest. I hope a manager sees this and prevents this type of behavior in the future. I can't see how it's good...

We went there on a Wednesday, which is buy one get one free soft serve sundaes. We had to "remind" them of this fact when we got to the register and they rang all eight of the sundaes at full price AFTER they tried the same thing with the people in front of us. Then they filled the cups only half full and when I questioned them as to why they only filled them halfway, they claimed that was how it was supposed to be done. All of the tables were filthy with ice cream smeared all over them, leaving us to ask for something to clean them with. The floor was also littered with debris. The quality of the ice cream was excellent, but the service and surroundings were utterly horrific. This made me think: If the areas which were visible to us were filthy, what did the areas we couldn't see look like? This establishment somewhere I will NOT...

Can we say customer service has been totally lost through the years? I asked for a 2 scoop of chocolate ice cream with strawberry topping. This man asked me if I wanted soft serve...I said no. Then he proceeded to serve 2 scoops of ice cream, when I asked him if the topping would fit, he said yes. Mind you this was a small cup. When he realized it wouldn't fit, he put the little cup in a bigger cup. I guess he thought it would be ok to have juice fall in between two cups. He gave me terrible attitude... never apologized....and thought he could just treat a customer like this. The reason why I say "treat" is because from the very start he seemed to not want to be bothered, taste test was not his thing. I'm sorry that this world is turning to crap. There I vented and I hope this is not...
