Five Guys — Restaurant in Boynton Beach

Usually love five guys as a treat once in a while. Walked in to the boynton store tonight for a late dinner. Came in and could instantly feel the negative vibe, from the cook slamming sauce bottles down after use, to the other cook screaming out order numbers in frustration. They were obviously understaffed and were annoyed by the conditions. During my 18 minute wait for my meal, I saw the shift manager come out and just look at them for a couple seconds and went straight to the back and never came back to help or ask them if they needed help. I continually heard one of the cooks say “I’m gonna walk out”. I’ve worked in fast casual myself, when this is the narrative, it usually means bad management and lack of help. Once I got my grilled cheese burger, it was missing ketchup and only one side of the “grilled cheese bun” was toasted. So let me put this into perspective, I had one side of my burger that was unmelted butter on a toasted bun, and the other side was a normal grilled cheese toasted bun. These are easy problems to fix as long as the management cares. Doesn’t seem like the case at...

To my surprise, I have never ventured out and tried Five Guys until today! A bit excited. A bit terrified. My review overall is going to say that it was very greasy and not good if cold. Something to be eaten on the spot - right when it's made.

I had ordered 2 little burgers, a small fries, and 2 drinks and our lunch was $31. I thought that was high but all the signs around the restaurant were promoting no preservatives / fresh meat. I liked that you could easily customize your burger with the toppings they have listed on the menu. This probably speeds up the ordering process for the staff too.

We waited about 10 minutes for our food to be ready. By the time we took it home, the fries were all soggy. The burgers were wrapped in foil but after a few bites - it was cold. What I liked about the burger was that the bacon was crispy and that the mushrooms went nicely on the burger. What I didn't like, was how messy it was.

I am not in a rush to come back and eat it but next time, I'll definitely have to eat it on...

Yesterday was the first time my boyfriend and I have ever tried Five Guys. I will start by saying the service I recieved was far beyond any expectation I could have ever had. The girl who took my order was SO SO SOOO incredibly sweet the entire time we were there. She was helpful, explained everything in detail, gave suggestions (to which we took all happily) and gave so many compliments which honestly made my night and maybe even my week. The gentlemen who prepared our food were also very kind and made some A-mazing food! Even our customized items were done perfectly without any mistakes. The burgers, to the fries, to the double oreo shake. Oh my goodness A+ if I could give more stars I would. I have already raved to several people about my exceptional service! Thank you all so much for being so awesome! I will definitely be back again....
