I’m deeply disappointed in the way my family was treated at this GameStop location. My underage brothers went to trade in three PS5 controllers and were only given $36 total in store credit. Not only was this outrageously low, but it was also ethically wrong — you took advantage of minors who clearly didn’t understand the value of what they were trading. The next day, another one of my brothers (who’s not a minor) went in to try and resolve the issue and was told nothing could be done. Then my father went in and called GameStop corporate from inside the store. Corporate authorized the return of the items — but instead of honoring that, the associate went to the back, came out empty-handed, claimed it was “misinformation,” and hung up on corporate. At this point, the store still had the controllers, but chose to deny our right to retrieve our own property — even after being told by corporate that it was allowed. A scene broke out (rightfully so), and instead of de-escalating or owning the situation, the associate called the police. When the manager arrived, she refused to speak to me, wouldn’t make eye contact, and ignored any attempt at respectful conversation. The manager falsely accused my father of vandalism (because he tore two plastic bags — which the associate even said weren’t a big deal), and then tried to convince the police to charge him with trespassing and vandalism, which is not only extreme but untrue.I also asked for the names of the staff involved, and the manager told me it was against policy to give them out — another lie, according to GameStop’s own customer service team.I’ve since spoken to corporate and escalated this issue. The treatment my family received — especially my younger brothers — was unacceptable, unethical, and honestly, disgusting. If this is how this location handles minors and families trying to resolve an issue peacefully, it needs to be addressed from the top down. I’ll make sure this situation doesn’t get swept under the rug, and I strongly advise others to avoid this location at all costs until the staff is properly trained in professionalism, customer service, and...
Read moreGameStop, as a company I have to say I am impressed by the fact that they have been in business so long; however, their time is coming to an end, just look at their stock prices currently on a downward trend since 2014. They sell items (video games) which can be purchased anywhere, including the big stores like Walmart, Target etc.
It’s just too corporate for me, everything you are looking to buy is an up sell (Extended warranty on a headset? I can’t believe people fall for this!) and everything you want to trade in has some type of problem and as a result the price is decreased. Not to mention the whole preorder thing, what’s the point it’s not like they’re not going to have enough in stock? I don’t understand why someone would preorder a game in this present day.
I was looking to get rid of a bunch of games that I will never play again along with two consoles. While the prices they pay for consoles is somewhat generous the amounts offered on games is a joke, roughly 10-25% of current...
Read moreBecause of the way your employees treated me I will never shop at a gamestop again unless 100% necessary but with best buy right down the street I think I'll be fine. On multiple occasions one of your employees got an attitude with me and laughed st my face had longer dark hair kinda light skin middle eastern completion. I reserved a game and told it came with certain dlc when I played it I found I was lied to total waste of money also why did you release a game a day before it came out I used to work at gamestop did you know it's a felony to release a game before it's actual release date you can go to jail face a 10000 dollar fine and ha e the store shut down and I've seen you do it multiple times good thing corporate doesn't care or you'd be in some big trouble go buy your game with a companey who actually cares about their customers as soon as I walked into best buy they were so nice and helpful your missing out on a customer of more...
