My family and I wanted an entertaing experience for a double twin birthday and we chose your place based on recommendations. We drove all the way from Jupiter and spent a lot of money there. I made reservations in advance (days before)for a party of 9 and called back 5 min later to add 3 more making it a party of 12. When we arrived the reservation was still only made for 9 not 12, and then proceeded to tell me you will not seat us until entire party has arrived. (When confirming reservations with your guests that is information you need to let customers know about) we had people coming in from all parts of palm beach county. We finally got seated with the 1st 9 people and a waitress by the name of Dalizza approached us. She informed us we couldn't be waited on until everyone got there multiple times, said her manager was starring at her and our table and that our table has been skipped by chefs bc our other 3 people didn't arrive on time. Dalizza was clearly aggravated with us (something I couldn't control) her attitude, rudeness and demeanor was absolutely obnoxious and uncalled for. When our other guests arrived we had to switch our kids around that were sitting on the same side of the table, and Dalizza comes over all upset we moved positions, she said now I have to do the entire order over again bc you switched people around (I know the chef needs to know seat # to serve the food) but it wasn't a big deal it was a simple chair swap with 2 kids and Dalizza hadn't even placed our order in yet. We were very greatful and said please and thank you with every interaction but she did not lighten up. I was in the restaurant biz for 20 years myself and couldn't believe how un professional Dalizza was. When our chef Josh arrived he was ready to start cooking for us only to find that Dalizza never turned the grill on. So Josh had to leave and come back when the grill got hot and even then Josh came back and said the grill wasn't hot enough to properly cook the food. Working at an establishment like that I am sure your waiting staff know to turn on the grills early for proper heating. Throughout the experience I asked Dalizza for napkins multiple times and she never brought them. She set a very uncomfortable ambience for everyone. (Also she gave me a share charge bc I told her my 3 year old was going to have a few bites of my plate..almost $8 for a 3 year old who maybe took 2 bites of my rice) It wasn't until Josh your chef came over and really turned things around for us. Josh was amazing and entertaining. He involved our kids, had the best jokes, and really amazed all of us with his talent, not to mention the food was outstanding. I really believe Dalizza didn't care at the end of the day because she knew gratuity was automatically involved, and that's unfortunate for her bc we are BIG tippers and would have left additional tips on top of gratuity. You can teach skills, but you can't teach kindness. Not the kind of employee you want representing your establishment especially when the experience is shared on social...

Subject: Disappointing Experience on a Special Occasion
Good morning,
My wife and I have been loyal patrons of Kimura Steak House since relocating to South Florida five years ago. Over the years, weāve always appreciated the consistently excellent food, service, and cleanliness that have made Kimura one of our favorite dining spots.
However, Iām writing to share a disappointing experience during our most recent visit, which also happened to be both my birthday and our anniversary. Naturally, we chose Kimura to celebrate what should have been a special evening.
We arrived around 7:05 PM, well within the posted hours of operation (MondayāThursday: 4:30 PMā10:00 PM). As usual, we were seated and waited for the rest of the table to fill before ordering, which has never been an issue in the past. Once the table was full, our waitress took our drink orders and brought appetizers promptly ā something we appreciated.
Unfortunately, thatās where the service noticeably declined.
We were only offered one round of drinks the entire evening. Despite observing the couple to our right ā who appeared to be acquaintances of the waitress ā receiving multiple refills without prompting, we were never approached for additional beverages. We did our best to conserve our drinks throughout the meal, but it was disappointing to feel overlooked.
Additionally, my wife informed the waitress early on that it was my birthday, and we were interested in the Kimura drum celebration. However, this never happened, and it felt like yet another missed opportunity to make the night special.
Toward the end of the evening, we noticed another party having issues with their drink, and while the waitress did attempt to resolve it, her frustration was evident. To make matters worse, during payment, the portable card reader was nearly pulled from my hands ā not once, but twice ā which felt rushed and dismissive.
I completely understand that everyone has off days. But as someone who has supported this establishment for years, it was disappointing to feel like an afterthought on a night that held personal significance for us. Experiences like this, especially when celebrating meaningful moments, can leave a lasting impression ā unfortunately, not a positive one in this case.
Itās disheartening to say, but we donāt foresee returning to Kimura in the near future.
Sincerely, Dan...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo not eat here!!!!! This place provided me with service that is equivalent to negative stars(subpar). We were sat relatively quick at approximately 8p with a fairly large party to start which should've been done. Then we waited for our chef to arrive at the table almost a hour after so now its 9p and the restaurant closes at 10p. When the chef arrives he forgets a couple items in back to include rice and another dish. Despite everyone's extreme hunger after waiting for over a hour the cook begans to prepare the food but also trying to watch his colleague who is cooking directly behind him. He prepares the worst rice I have ever had from a hibachi restaurant that was extremely salty and burned. While portioning out the rice he basically throws the rice on to everyone's plate's leaving rice all over the table. This gestured made everyone a bit perturb. Then he starts to develop an extremely attitude while cooking. Slinging the side sauces into the small dishes and slamming them down into of the patrons. Still extremely hungry we waited for him to prepare our protiens which were steak and shrimp. Due to the cooks continued attitude and constant looking over his shoulder my wife decide enough is enough and told the MOD about this subpar experience. The manager never seemed to care himself and didn't even come over to the table to rectify the situation. So based on these series of events we requested for our food to be packaged to go because it was now 1030 and the meats were still being cooked. After we received the food the manager provided me with the check and only offered a lousy apology as he proceeded to swipe my card. When we got home and attempted to eat the "slop" that had been provided to us we noticed 1st the extreme saltiness of the entire dish. Then the extreme crispiness of not only the rice but the vegetables as well. Our steaks were also over cooked and extremely salty. After this abysmal service and food I attempted to called the restaurant to make my complaint but they had already closed and their voicemail box was full. I looked online to check their hours of operation and noticed they open at 6p the following day. I had my wife called to address these issues with the manager but was given the run around by staff members and was told we would be contacted by someone in corporate because the charge could not be reversed. Customer service is #1 in hospitality but for this restaurant it seems to be the last resort. So take my advice and don't eat here unless they change out the...
