Pollo Campero — Restaurant in Boynton Beach

Update: thank you for your response. The sign is on the window. That does not help people in the drive up line waiting at the menu box. I would Move it. Additionally, the first people I spoke to had more reason why they were closed. And the second person didn’t give a reason why before walking away. If they had just explained that you’re doing maintenance, we wouldn’t have an issue.

I love the food here and the staff are normally very friendly. I had a horrible experience tonight. I went to Pollo Campero at 9:20pm to place an order for food on my dinner break. I waited at the drive up box for about 10min before asking an employee who was outside if anyone was working the drive up. He said he didn’t know and got someone else. The next person who came out, said they were closed. I asked why, seeing as they are open until 10pm. He said we are just closed. I asked him to confirm again, that even though it is 40min to closing time, that you are closed? He started to just walk away from me at that point.

I’m furious. I spent my whole lunch break trying to just get food. Now I have no food, I’m hangry, and I’m writing this review. It’s just a lose lose situation all...

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent changes at Pollo Campero, particularly at the Boynton Beach, FL location. I used to be a loyal customer, visiting at least twice a week. Unfortunately, due to the drastic decline in quality and value, I now go once every two months—if at all.

Be aware, in South Florida, rice and beans are universally considered one side. However, the owner of the Boynton Beach (FL) location has chosen to combine them into a single container that was previously used for either rice or beans alone. This means customers are receiving significantly less food and the price has increased (so, away OVERPRICED). Before, we received both items separately, which felt fair and generous. Now, it feels stingy and misleading.

Please save your money and go some place else. I would suggest the LA BRASA GRILL or LA GRANJA. You're going to eat better, and the RICE AND BEANS count as one and they come SEPARATELY as a FAIR portion, not this JOKE!!! I hope they run out of the business soon and let the place for...

Just spent $50 here for lunch and they forgot the ranch for my salad...no big deal. We went through the line again to ask for the ranch. The man who helped us was very nice about it. But then we go to drive off and the lady behind him said we were lying in spanish. Apparently because we are white we can't speak spanish? My family is Spanish but I guess since I don't look like her I can't understand her? Anyways. Makes me reconsider coming to eat here again. If she's that ridiculous about the ranch. They also made us pull up to wait for the food. Which we didn't think anything of until we went back in the line and they let the spanish people just sit there and wait for their food. Seems like she is profiling people and treating them differently. Also they should consider wearing hair nets because we found little brown hair in our food. Will not be returning. Pollo tropical is much better for price and the way they treat their customers no matter where they think...
