For Gigi, You have the intangibles to be anything you want to be in life. May all your professional endeavors be as successful. You created an all encompassing masterfully orchestrated experience from a cashier position in a way I haven't seen in all my 20 years of service and service management. Don't ever change. The way you treated me meant so much.
Thank you,

Review: I almost talked myself out of eating and was about to leave. The restaurant was empty, and I saw the “closed at 8 PM” sign just in time. I’m used to being treated like a burden, like someone who doesn’t belong, especially by people who judge a book by its cover. I don’t have much—in fact, the chicken Caesar salad I ordered cost me three days’ worth of food money. It was a big splurge.
But Gigi changed everything.
She welcomed me in without hesitation, grabbed a menu, and said, “Come in, come in, we’ve got plenty of time to take care of you.” She smiled, looked me in the eyes, and carried herself with an energy that was genuine—not over-the-top or fake in that typical “customer service voice.” Her kindness was real.
Being from Arkansas and living below the poverty line often makes me feel invisible to most people—at best ignored, at worst shamed. But Gigi saw a human being who was nervous and struggling, and she met me with compassion and warmth. She knew I wasn’t going to be a big tipper. Even if I tipped 100%, it likely wouldn’t have made a big difference in her night. And yet she treated me like I was the most important guest she’d seen all day.
The only downside was the Caesar salad itself—the chicken was dark meat, pre-chopped, and honestly, not very appetizing. I chose TooJay’s hoping to eat something higher quality than fast food, and the presentation of that salad fell short. I understand inflation has hit everyone hard, but a $20 salad like that was disappointing—especially when your brand is known for quality meats.
But then Gigi offered me a small pastry sample—and it was absolutely to die for. And because of her, I will absolutely come back and try something else. I want to support this location because Gigi works there. She is a testament to your company’s values and represents the kind of integrity that shows up whether or not anyone’s watching.
Pay her. Praise her. Promote her.

Read moreSadly i had to delete my previous 5 🌟 review after last night visit to this Toojay's location in Boyton Beach...
I arrived around 6pm by myself, and as i was waiting for someone else to join me, i was seated. The hostess was very nice and well mannered. I was seated in a section where a mature caucasian lady with short, curly hair named Carol was the waitress.(the section only had 4 tables occupied including mine)
At first i was pleased to see that an experienced person was going to help me with my order, 5 minutes later my date arrived, and 15 minutes later (that's 20 minutes now) i was still seating there and Mrs Carol keep passing my table taking care of the other 3 couples and didn't even introduce her self to us. Finally, when she approached my table, her attitude was very short and dry, almost making us feel not welcome. Now, that was shocking to me since service was always good at this location!!!
(I hate to think that the reason for Mrs Carol behavior was racial since i was the only Latino person at her section)
Anyway, after another 5 minutes (that's almost 1/2 hour now wasted) of me and my date discussing whether or not we should leave the restaurant we decided to change sections and BOOM!!! Like magic, the whole evening changed! Our new waitress was very pleasant, service and food was superb and we tip her acordly.
Side note: In this whole situation we never called the manager to complaint. My date and I had a lot to talk so we were trying to not get off track besides we were embarrassed enough and didn't wanted to create a...
Read moreDoes not deserve any stars at all. Beware of this place - there are reasons why this place was empty at 5:45 pm. They had more people behind the counter than eating - it was depressing!
Was looking for comfort food - stuffed cabbage dinner. Came with soup - one huge matzoball (which was kind of good) with very dry chicken meat. Main entree arrived, no sweet and sour sauce or raisins - a thick bitter red sauce glopped on top of the cabbage rolls. The one bit I tried was tasteless, like hospital food. Tried to enhance flavor with salt/pepper - no luck everything was clumped at the bottom of shaker. The carrots were unevenly cooked, but most of them were not - still half raw, bland and cold. Refused to eat and returned to kitchen. Interestingly enough the manager/chef did not come to ask why food was returned - I guess he already knew.
Still hungry and very let down, I ordered the latkes appetizer - wrong move. Tasteless, spiky, over-fried hashbrowns - nothing like real latkes. Gave up after eating one and a half. The only thing I enjoyed was the Dr. Brown's cream soda.
I don't know what happened, they used to have great food before they moved to the current location. I don't even know if all Too Jay's are like this one - but this has been THE WORST dining experience, ever! Even worse than Olive Garden - which apparently forgot the recipe for garlic.
Maybe, I should have known better when I saw "fully loaded latkes" smothered with bacon on the menu - ugh!
Never going back and if you still have taste buds,...
