A couple of things : - I wish there were samples. It was my first time there today and, I was in buying a box for myself. It would have been so amazing to have gotten to try before I buy. I bought 8 pieces to try out their items. Now I know which ones I love. But if I would have been able to try before I bought I would have bought as much as humanly possible. Instead I got a bunch of flavors I didnot like and two that I loved. Samples would be PHENOMENAL. Know I know that I love the créole and marzipan. Having samples would be really amazing and, helpful for first timers like me. I got better suggestion from the other customer who was in there with me than the employee. - It was my first time but I was very confused on why half the store looks like it’s under construction ?? I think there was ice cream but the employee was not helpful to explaining products, selling or showing me around. - A personal preference: There are no milk alternatives for the hot chocolates. I would wish they would have a milk alternative for the hot cocoa such as barista style oat milk.

I came here for tea for the first time today, and it was AMAZING! Best $19 you can spend in the downtown Bozeman area, guaranteed! The tea was fantastic and I refilled my pot 3x while my friend and I sat there and chatted the entire afternoon away. The pastries were AMAZING and delicious. They were so adorable and dainty when we arrived, but by the time I left I felt completely stuffed. That dainty little tray was actually a feast-worthy gorge-fest of deliciousness. We had two macarons, rum cake, a chocolate bouchon, an applecake on puff pastry and a shortbread cookie. The shop was adorable, and peaceful with the perkiest background music and the sunlight slanting in the window and creeping across the room made it picture perfect. This will be my go-to girls afternoon from now on! #bestofbozeman #letsguide #tea

My wife and I had an excellent pre-dinner snack at La Chatelaine. They had a larger selection of dark chocolate options than many chocolate shops we've visited (and we have visited a lot). Flavors were excellent, especially the sea salt options. Also the caramels. Prices are about what you'd expect in a boutique chocolate shop, but definitely not the most expensive we've tried. Friendly staff. If we're back in Bozeman, we'll definitely come again.

Wow! Absolutely stellar!! 10 Stars!! The Easter large dark chocolate hen with eggs was beautifully crafted and decorated and the chocolate is so luxurious! It snaps and has a beautiful dark glossiness. The flavor is rich and intense but not bitter! I also like the uniqueness of a hen; bunnies are everywhere. The coconut marshmallows are so divine! I love the texture and flavor of the toasted coconut combined with the pillowy softness of the marshmallow. The chocolate sauce is the best I have ever had! It is thick and dark, creamy, and gooey. The flavor is absolutely amazing— 🤩! Hands down this is the best chocolatier. I can’t wait to try the caramel sauce. I also had some mixed nut and candied fruit dark chocolate medallions. I hate candied fruit- normally- not in these though. The candied fruit in these is delicious! It is so balanced and the flavor profile is complex- sweet, salty, tangy. On the business side they are also stellar. The Easter package was a gift from my mom. It did not arrive the day she expected it to so I called and spoke with them. They tracked my package for me and were very nice and helpful. It arrived that day within the time frame they said. It was also delivered by USPS which I liked because it is more secure and went into a lockbox in the mailroom. If it had been FEDEX or UPS it could have been delivered to the...

I went to this place years ago and it was absolutely incredible. Beautiful, rich, French hot chocolate. This being the case I suggested to my boyfriend that we go there for a cute little afternoon tea. We were extremely disappointed!

First the staff were quite overbearing, they were trying to be friendly but came off as creepy because they watched our every move while we decided what truffles we wanted.

Secondly we decided to try a few truffles, they looked gorgeous but were so bland, flavorless, and dry! They all tasted the same. We are both chocolate obsessed so we have a lot to compare them to.

Thirdly we asked if they still served their delicious “French hot chocolate” the young women at the front said yes, and we bought two, we even paid extra for cream on top. We were genuinely miffed when we took a sip and it was obviously Swiss Miss or some other cheap powder hot chocolate mix, we even swear we heard the microwave in the back kitchen heating up the water. We’ve both had real European hot chocolate before and this definitely wasn’t it!

Very disappointing after paying for and being told it was “French” feeling very ripped off! Such a shame because it otherwise was a very cute shop and the hot chocolate used to be...
