What actually happed to this place. As a local it’s hard to find cheap food and drinks at a casual restaurant here. We used to come all the time but tonight was our last time. We stayed for a total of 8 minutes before being so baffled by the horrible excuse of waitstaff and management. Here’s a play by play.
Empty restaurant with maybe 4 tables occupied total. The host happened to be the “manager”. Cool. No problem with that. We requested a booth which wasn’t a huge ask. He said absolutely and within the 30 second walk he placed our menus at a table. When we hesitated to sit down he finally remembered that we asked for a booth. I get it. Slip ups happen. No biggie.
We proceed to sit down and the manager explains every last detail front to back opening with “ this is a menu. It has everything we have that you can order”. I was so tempted to say that this wasn’t our first time. After explanation of how our menu works, he then told us our server will arrive momentarily. So you wasted all that time for nothing? There is a line when hospitality can turn into just a nuisance.
Then our server, Rosawn. Great introduction but that rapidly changed. Took our drink order and totally messed it up. We asked for a frozen strawberry margarita. Bartender asked the server if it was frozen or rocks. (She recognized us and knows what we normally order). Our server confidently told her rocks and she began making the drink. In passing I asked the server “that margarita was frozen right?” He said oh my bad let me go fix that. The bartender then got extremely upset with him because she already started making the drink. We finally get our drinks and the “strawberry” margarita was actually rang up as a Raspberry. It was also 85% alcohol and 15% blended ice to the point where it wasn’t even consumable. At this point we were ready to just get out of there. We flag the manager that was cleaning tables down and let him know that we were ready to close out. He didn’t even apologize for the service because he didn’t see any problem with it. When I brought up the issues we experienced they proceeded to laugh and start using profanity when all we wanted to do was leave.
In a seasonal town that businesses rely on locals to get through the off season, they sure know how to push people away. From my understanding they have gone to completely new management. Just new....
Read moreWe, a group of 3, came in around 6pm. There were maybe 6 other tables occupied, so not busy by any means. We were sat immediately but did not have a server come up to us for 15 minutes. In that time no one asked us what we would like to drink or even just to tell us they would be with us soon. After 15 minutes our server, Staci, came up to us and told us she would be with us soon. After another 5 minutes she came back to get our drink order but forgot her pen and had to leave again! Once Staci returned to take our orders she used a napkin because she had also forgotten a paper. We were all ready to order our food, due to having plenty of time looking at the menus while waiting. We were going to order the 50¢ mozzarella sticks but were informed it is 50¢ per stick, which seems like such a silly sale. We ordered and were brought our drinks a few minutes later. We waited another about 20 minutes for our food, which really isn’t too long of a wait. However once the food arrived it was cold and the ketchup on our table and the surrounding tables were all empty. We would have asked our waitress for another bottle but at no point until the very end of our meal did she come anywhere even close to us. On top of cold food and no ketchup, my husbands burger had tomato on it when he had asked for no lettuce or tomato. When one person in our group was finished eating Staci returned to take the plate. We all asked for refills of our drinks because no one had come near us for us to be able to ask for a refill before that point. By the time we got our refills all 3 of us were done and Staci took the other two plates. We then waited for the check because it was not brought to us once she took the first plate as it would have been at any other establishment I have ever been to. Overall VERY poor service for overpriced, mediocre, cold food. Would not recommend, there are MUCH better...
Read moreHaven't been here in a couple years... Went past it tonight and said, hey, why not.
First we're "greeted" by a mope. "Two?". Yes two, how are you doing tonight?. "This way". Ummm ok... She drops the menus on the table and continues walking. Wow. Starting it off right I see.
The waitress is nice but is training someone new so she's not paying attention to anything else going on.
We order the 2 for$25 special they have going on. We're sitting there 40 minutes until the food comes out. We finally get it, it's a cheeseburger and fry and a bacon chicken sandwich and fry. We asked if they forgot about us... Waitress said it was a thick piece of chicken so they had to refry it 3x's to cook it. Well that's a red flag.
We split the burger and chicken sandwich... Both bite into the chicken... Immediately spit it out. Disgusting. Not only cook it 3x, but it's cooked in old grease. Fryers must not have been changed in a month. Just because you filter the grease every few days does not make it clean new grease. We try the fries, same disgusting old grease flavor.
It's that stank grease flavor that coats your throat and sits in your gullet and makes you want to throw it all up to try and get it out of your system.
The burger was plain but edible. So, $30 for each of us to eat a 1/2 burger. Wow.
It was so bad I brought the chicken and fry home to photo and show you... I've never done this before, but I really feel I needed to make the effort to warm anyone who wants to read this.
Ah yes, as we were walking out people were waiting to get in. Some guy asked how long we waited... I said we got right in, took 40 minutes for the food but do yourself a favor and don't get anything fried because it's old old grease and not edible. So just trying to help someone out before they waste their money and feel like greasy...
