The literal worst dining experience of my entire life. We were a table of three. We walk into the place and are confused as to whether we’re supposed to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. We stand and wait for an employee to acknowledge us for five minutes and eventually decide to track one down and ask ourselves. Not ideal, but whatever. It was self seating so I can understand why they maybe wouldn’t say anything to us. Then we get a waitress. Lovely girl, takes our drink orders. We get two cherry Pepsis and a Sprite. We end up getting a cherry Pepsi, and cherry sprite, and a regular sprite. Again, not ideal but no big deal. It takes her a while to return to our table and make the correction but she’s talking to other tables so I get it. Then she takes our food orders. She then let us know that she was leaving for the night. Again, she was a lovely girl.
We then have no idea who our new waitress/waiter is. We wait for 50 minutes before flagging a waitress down and asking for her to please check on our order. She informs us that it’s not even in the system. Honestly, at that point I still wasn’t all that irritated. Mistakes happen. But I am, at the very least, expecting an apology and for our order to be top priority. To be clear, I understand there will be a wait. There are other people and the food still has to cook, obviously. But this was not an incredibly busy time. Very moderately full. We then wait another 15 minutes with no update. We flag down the waitress again and ask if she can check on it. We have been here for an hour and five minutes at this point. She says she will check on it. She then goes to the computer system and starts chatting and laughing with another member of staff. It is clear she is in no rush. She then proceeds to not give us any kind of update. Doesn’t even return to our table. I see multiple orders go up with enough food for at least seven people. At this point, I am irritated. I would go somewhere else but then I’m going to have to wait another hour for food and we are very hungry.
Then the gentleman she was chatting with comes by and asks us if we need anything. We say can you please check on the food. He says “yes they are making it. She was checking on it.” Well, thank you for letting us know because she certainly did not.
Ten more minutes pass. The waitress tells us our food will be up shortly. Then the food finally comes. It is a miracle to say the least. I am a fair person, so I will say the food was very good. Everything was made correctly, thank goodness. We then ask for the check and, of course, it’s the full check. No free drinks or anything for our hour and 15 minute wait. We finally end this disaster of a dining experience. Never in my life before today have I not tipped a waitress/waiter, but this was a joke. Nobody cared that our order took enough time for me to run home and back. Everyone was standing around and laughing. And, by the end of it, I wouldn’t have even known who the tip was going to as nobody checked on our table. If you want to wait an hour for good food and terrible service, all the power to you. We will not be...
Read moreGot there, we were standing at the doorway because we had no idea if it was a "seat yourself" or "wait to be seated" deal. Eventually someone said from across the room to sit anywhere. We started going up the stairs and were told not to go up there as we already made it up. We got a booth by the bar that still had dirty dishes on it, (all the empty tables had dirty dishes on them) and there wasn't enough room for all of us so we had to pull up a tall chair. Sat down and didn't get a drink order put in for about 10 minutes. After we got drinks, they took our food order (5 in group). We made it through our drinks, the waitress and bar person walked by multiple times and didn't offer refills, check on us, or let us know a food update. We asked for a refill and got no verbal response to it, almost seemed like we were bothering them for asking. After waiting an hour, we noticed two tables, who came in AFTER us, get their food. We were a bit upset, and upon asking, we were told it was coming soon. We waited another 10 minutes and decided to walk out because it had been over an hour, no one updated us unless we asked, and we were very hungry. Then as two of us made it to the door, the waitress stopped the rest of the group at the booth and said it would be 5 minutes. We sat back down and the food did come in about 5 minutes, BUT, they put Jalapeños on our nachos when it was not supposed to be there and put no beef on our "beef" nachos. The other food was alright, but my meal was forgotten and we were too upset to ask about it, plus we didn’t wanna wait another hour for a panini. I ended up sharing "beef" nachos with my S/O. No one checked on us while we ate, but the waitress was quick to pick up one dish from our table without saying anything. We had to ask for the bill when it was clear that we were done eating. We told them about the missing item and they took it off our bill. The whole time it seemed like the waitress and bar person were checking on everyone but us. It was not a good experience at all. We are from Kansas so we had a long drive ahead, and having to wait that long really put us getting home late. I'm upset that a quick lunch turned into an almost...
Read moreThey've done it again! Wow! Wow! Not only is Crazy Craig's always fully staffed, it is aesthetically pleasing , it is super clean and colorful and tropical. As you sit inside downstairs you get a very beachside bar vibe which is awesome when it's 80 degrees out and they're AC is pumping cool and just smells clean. There is no smoking inside the treehouse but the bar upstairs is covered does allow it. And of course the front deck. Best drinks in town. They always have something up their sleeve , all of the staff is so much fun and energetic you would think they're really one big family. Let's get into the food.. the first time I went I had the Reubens with house made parmesean fries. Just woe, it was so tender and juicy and flavorful there was little to no gristle in the corned beef which is just 100% amazing in my opinion. I also had their dart frog dip . And it is a house madegarlic hummus with fire roasted tomatoes and a combination of green and black olives on top. And of course olive oil. Beautifully made and beautifuly perfect on your pallette . Today I went back and had the dip again. But I tried the Cubana panini and it was so amazing. They have a spicy stone mustard on top of what I think is their house smoked pork with spicy pickles and Swiss on a toasted panini so so so tasty everything goes together so well in that sandwich. I chose to get the gouda bacon Mac n cheese instead of the fires today because I wanted to try something new and different. I'm glad I did. So gooey and cheesy. Again everything blded perfectly. Noodles just perfect. Just enough bacon to get your tongue itching for more. My buddy had the steak burger and said it was also amazing. He said you can tell it is fresh never frozen beef. I said how do you know. He said there is no denying it. It was one of the "steakiest" steak burgers he had ever had. And so delicious. We will continue to go back again and again. They also have live music and it's just real lively fun atmosphere it is a bar that serves...
