I used to love this restaurant. The father who started it was a gracious host. I always felt welcomed and cared for by the staff and owner and I visited it frequently as a result.
Fast forward to today. I went with a friend raving to her about the great food and staff, only to be met by two sons who seemed to hate having a restaurant! They were grumpy, gave ridiculously small portions of food, and when my friend and I showed them that our chicken soup had less that a half teaspoon of tiny chicken pieces in it, and our chicken plate was just a plate of sauce with a few chunks of chicken in it, we were berated. Not only that, a second brother came out from the back to personally attack me with fabricated accusations.
All they had to do was serve decent portions and be kind.
I think these sons would profit from imitating their father and being gracious hosts. They also need to give enough food! If their bad attitudes continue, they will destroy the successful business that their father built and left to them.
Update: In response to the false accusations they have made against me, I have never complained about anything in that restaurant. I always ate at the buffet and raved about the food. I never ordered take out or came to order off the menu. I know the family members who worked there and personally requested to know their well being on my most recent visit. The two sons were there this time without their father, they were rude, and to cover for their rudeness, they falsely accused me. Their behavior is shameful and I will not recommend this restaurant anymore when for the past two years it was my favorite restaurant. Perhaps their Papa should give them a talking to.
Buyer beware: This was the first time I had a complaint about the food after years of eating at this restaurant. If you have a complaint about the food, be prepared for a public insult from them just because they didn't...
Read moreWhen I arrived the entire dining room was full, there was not one available table or booth. I thought that being at capacity was a great sign that I was at an excellent Indian restaurant. People kept pouring in and adding their names to the seating list. There wasn't much room to wait on being seated but that didn't seem to deter people from leaving their phone number on the list and then wait in their cars. I was seated after about 20 minutes. The staff was crazy busy, but you wouldn't have known that if you evaluated their prompt, courteous, and attentive service. I ordered my favorite Indian dish and favorite Naan bread. I was expecting to wait a long time on my food, but I was so wrong. My food arrived within 15 minutes and it was spectacular. I wish the restaurant had more space for more tables/booths and some room for people waiting to be seated, but that is my only criticism. The food was fantastic and my overall experience was exceptional. Even if they had more tables/booths I imagine this restaurant would still be overflowing with people. If you enjoy Indian food then this restaurant is a must on anyone's list of places to eat while in...
Read moreOnly Indian restaurant in the area and has above average food. Their Chilli-Chiken Starter and Mango milkshake is amazing. Other Items are above average.
Prices were a bit expensive as they don't have any competition in the area.
Person at the front desk , who also takes orders and is probably the owner - is very good and kind.
Staff who wore black dress seemed to be overworked and appeared not to be welcoming (especially person who is in ponytail - he seemed to be angry at the customers for no apparent reason)
Decor is below average.
We were group of 5 and bill was 100+ that included started, main course with 2 veg 2 nonveg entries, 5 naans, mango milkshake etc
Tips for Owner/Management:
Please have a word with your staff who wears black dress (especially person with ponytail) to behave with customers.
Your food is above average but decor is pathetic. Try to invest some more in good decor / seats/ lighting /more space etc.
