We arrived September 1st at 6:40 and checked in with 10 people 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 3 toddlers and a ten month old. At 7:30 we were seated at a 6 top table with a large pole in between us and a booth. We couldn’t even have a conversation with the other table as it was too far away. We sat and waited for 20 minutes before ordering and the people next to us were leaving so we asked for that table to be slid together so we could eat our family meal together.
Another 10 minutes we were granted to push the table over and move our family over to eat with us and we placed our order. It took an hour to get our food, not a big deal but the first item announced was not anything we ordered some set it in front of the 4 year old as it was 9pm and the kids were famished. Everyone for what they ordered except for the 4 year old who ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The waitress was going to take the grill cheese and fries and leave him without anything until they burger was made so we asked her to leave it so he could eat some of the fries. The cheeseburger came out within minutes, no fries because he already ate the fries from the grill cheese we didn’t order. All of the sweet potato fries and Mac and cheese were cold. We inquired about getting it replaced with 2 hot orders of fries and 1 orders of Mac and cheese and the waitress started taking the food off the table and said she would just take it off the ticket which is not at all what we wanted. We wanted the food and was hoping for it to be reheated.
10-12 minutes later a woman who never introduced herself asked what is the problem and never let us answer and said she took care of our bill and drop the receipt in the table and rushed away. I looked at the ticket and it said $76 but none of the food was anything we ordered. Another 10 minutes go by we see the same woman and I explained to her this wasn’t our bill. Nothing on the ticket matched any of the food we ordered. She left and came back and presented a new ticket with a zero balance. The waitress waited another 10 minutes before seeing if we needed refills (we never had one refill) and we were just disappointed so we boxed up what we didn’t eat, left a cash tip and left.
I have never seen this typo of service before and am still struggling with the fact that the manager would rather comp an almost $200 meal than make it right.
We never exchanged words nor was given an opportunity to explain what happened.
My kids eat here everytime they come to Branson. It is the only place they go every time.
This was such an eye opening experience and wanted to share the level of service we received tonight.
Our first family vacation together and this is what we...
Read moreTL;DR: Amazing food, great service!! You need to try this place, even if the only thing they have left is ribs!
A friend and I were on a road trip from the PNW and we arrived a little after 6pm on the Sunday before the 2024 eclipse. The place was packed and there was a 15-20 minute wait. They did not expect the additional guests that the eclipse bestowed upon them. When we were called to the desk, we were informed that the brisket, burnt ends, and the chicken were out of stock. Being the end of the day at a BBQ place, I would say this is not unexpected, especially with the increased demand, so we accepted the missing meats and were lead to our table, an ample sized booth setup.
After a few minutes, Betty, the most amazing person the planet, showed up to take our order and regretfully inform us that the menu had been additionally limited to just pork ribs and bologna.
I, myself, am very picky about ribs (and not even a little bit of a fan of bologna) so we contemplated going elsewhere, but ultimately deducted that most other places would be an additional wait and if they were bbq, would most likely be in the same boat.
I ordered the half rack of ribs and their home made chips as a side, along with a Coke. After the plate was set down in front of me, I grabbed one of the ribs and went to town. This rib was amazingly moist, flavorful, and the most tender rib I believe I have had. The meat easily slid off the bone and the sauce and seasonings were spectacular. The chips were seasoned well and were made double tasty by dunking them in a touch of the BBQ sauce.
Betty, our server, was super attentive; even with the chaos of all the other patrons and tables. My drink was replenished before it had even gone dry and she was ready to receive any request we might have in a moments notice as she busily went about her duties with the other tables.
Unfortunately this is not a location that I frequent, due to the 2200mi travel distance, but I will ensure that anyone that I know who remotely comes close to Brandson, and this amazing restaurant, will make a concerted effort to come by this place and have a bite.
I will be back one day to try the rest of, what I am sure, is an...

Q is my favorite, so I had to try. I admit, #IGotBasted!
What a Q-tastic experience at Gettin' Basted BBQ Restaurant in Branson, Missouri! This visit will surely stick in my memory for a long time. From the delicious feast to the exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere, I can’t help but feel a bit sad that my meal has come to an end. But I take it as the perfect excuse to return to this awesome BBQ spot!
The food was nothing short of remarkable—smoky and succulent in every bite. I opted for the Judges Plate, which was an absolute delight featuring a generous 1/3 lb of brisket, 1/3 lb of pulled pork, a 1/2 rack of ribs, half a chicken, a sausage link, 1/3 lb of burnt ends (I substituted it for the Pit Ham), mac and cheese, bruleed creamed corn (truly the best I've ever tasted!), and Texas toast. I was overwhelmed by the incredible flavors and left completely smitten with my meal. Honestly, everything on the menu looked tempting, and I found myself sneakily eyeing the plates of fellow diners as they walked by. What a delicious experience!
The service was truly commendable—professional yet warm and inviting. My server, Sarah, was a beautiful gem! She ensured I had everything I needed, walked me through the menu, made me feel at home, and served with a genuine smile. I never had an empty water glass; the service was top-notch.
The atmosphere was a true BBQ enthusiast's dream! I loved the unique wall decor and sayings, the accolades on display, and the overall vibe that made this restaurant so special. It was clean, filled with the irresistible aroma of smoked meats, and everyone seemed to be enjoying their time there. What a great environment!
I was fortunate enough to experience their live coal bbq which perfectly encapsulates the "Flavor of the Ozarks." Overall, what a great restaurant with outstanding BBQ! I'm looking forward to...
