I didn't expect to find much organic in a bakery type of restaurant, especially in Branson. However, was hoping for a miracle that the coffee bar would have 1 organic coffee and maybe one muffin that was organic. When I didn't see anything organic, just to make sure, I asked if they had anything organic. All the kids behind the counter looked speechless & shocked. One boy finally said "We Don't Spray our food." Then I was confused. I said, "Why would you spray your food? He/they said, "yeah we were wondering the same thing." He said. "Isn't organic pesticides.. that you spray?" I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. So I just walked out, mentally shaking my head. I don't know if it was a funny experience or a I don't believe it experience. I'm still trying to decide. I guess that will teach me a lesson LOL. I DON'T KNOW ANY OTHER WAY TO RESPOND TO THE OWNER'S REPLY below except to come back to my/this original review to add my reply to the owner's reply: I am a retired business owner with a marketing degree (with experience hiring this yr to help a restaurant owner). I offered you a way through my review (by spending my time without paying me consultation fees, lol) that you might improve your service. You wrote a long response that I found had little to do with my experience...until you finally came to the issue... then try to put blame/trying to put the responsibility on me that I should have grace with your not very knowledgeable staff/kids! After reading other reviews (that weren't 5 stars), I discovered that this attitude has a tendency to lean toward being your norm (so I don't take it personally). Managers are to take responsibility for incompetency in their staff; (not blameing their customers for stating negative facts). Maybe you should have staff that are mature enough to converse with adult customers or wait on customers yourself. Also, I am a local so no need to wish me happy traveling but I will be talking about your response elsewhere. This wouldn't have been a further issue if you wouldn't have responded the way you did.😏 People are tired of getting bad service (that started before the pandemic so they don't believe businesses that blame it on the pandemic). We now have a generation of business owners & managers who are less than competent in customer service & it's more about them than serving customers...

2/27/24 We revisited this restaurant and was VERY pleased. I had the beet salad and it was truly delish!! I also had the almond joy cake and it was delicious as well. Husband had the ultimate blt and said it was much to his satisfaction! I would definitely recommend, especially; if it’s slow season and you don’t have to wait inline. However, the food is worth the wait!

12/2022 I have to confess, we did not eat here. I wanted to but…😔 It was super busy (and it was slow season), which is good for them. But you have to stand inline to order your food and pay for it. Then find a table (if you’re lucky) and someone will bring your food to you. There was only one person taking orders and the line was moving SO slow!!! We finally gave up and left.

While we were in line waiting, someone leaving did say the food was delicious and it certainly looked like it.

This restaurant is located within a collection of shops. So it is frequented by tourist buses, which explains why it was so busy.

So in summary, if you’re looking for a full service restaurant to relax,...

My step mom paid for my wedding cake from this bakery, the cake was as beautiful as my day.... Lace decor but that was it, the "sugar" flowers that decorated the cake were terrible they tasted like nothing not even sweet, the cake was dry, flavorless not sweet at all , dense and the filling was slimy and was very bland. I requested cookies and cream a basic flavor and they definitely missed the mark. The communication between the bakery and the bride was minimal and felt like I was pulling teeth to get answers. When my stepmom posted a review the review was met with arrogance and absolutely no attempt to make it right. They didn't even respond to the review until several weeks later and felt very generic and thought less. Made no effort to try to rectify the situation. I Will not be recommending! thankfully we had another company that provided us with an amazing pastry and the day was amazing despite the over priced, dense, dry, flavorless cake...

First impression before even ordering: the decor and atmosphere here is beautiful and cozy. The lighting and colors make it feel instantly comfortable and homey, while still feeling elegant and clean. We had the cookie of the month latte frappe and a s'mores chocolate chip cookie. So many places like this just pound out the sugar and layer everything in sugar icing and syrup and hope it covers up the lack of culinary ability. NOT so at Sugar Leaf. The flavors of the latte and the cookie were subtly perfect and complex and beautifully balanced allowing you to enjoy every flavor. Definitely will return the next time I'm in Branson. Thank you for a great experience!

I absolutely loved sugar leaf treats! I came in looking for something on the lighter side, since I eat when I travel for work. I chose the half salad and half a sandwich option! It was a great decision because the salad was extremely light! there were strawberries, feta cheese, almonds and spinach with a homemade dressing. I also got a roast beef sandwich and it was the perfect temperature! I waited no more than three minutes for my food, use their free Wi-Fi, and the server/cashier, Tina, was absolutely flawless in helping me find the perfect meal For me!!! They have fruit infused water for free! It was a delicious treat! (;
