I rarely leave one-star reviews, but a simple morning coffee run during an otherwise great vacation completely soured my experience. The barista’s attitude was shockingly rude—I’m genuinely mind-blown. Having worked in the customer service industry myself, I know that this is absolutely not how you treat customers.
I initially ordered a for here regular cappuccino but then noticed the mushroom latte and decided to change my order before i paid for anything. The cashier was friendly and seemed to modify it, but there must have been a misunderstanding because I ended up with both a cappuccino and a mushroom latte. Mistakes happen, and I would have understood—but what followed was beyond unacceptable.
When I received my drinks, both were in to-go cups, even though I had specifically ordered for here. I politely pointed this out, simply asking if I could have my coffee in a mug instead. The response I got from the barista was nothing short of traumatizing. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she chose to argue with me, insisting I had ordered two drinks and that I should have specified a mug. Even if there was a misunderstanding, there is a way to communicate that with basic courtesy.
At no point did I raise my voice or demand compensation—I wasn’t even insisting on getting the mug anymore. I was just taken aback by how dismissive the barista was. If you don’t enjoy working in customer service, I get it, but this kind of behavior will continue driving customers away, which I noticed has been mentioned in previous reviews.
To the owner: I respect that you stand by your employees, but if this issue isn’t addressed, I certainly won’t be the last person leaving a...
Read moreMom's baking was perfect this morning!!! I'm passing through Breckenridge for a couple days and this morning I was out looking for good coffee and a place to relax and read, when I saw Mom's. I noticed their window showing they had Czech beer and food, and wandered inside to see what was going on. What I found ble me away!! They have incredible baked goods, and just about every creative way to serve a sweet tooth! Amazing service, the people were so friendly, helped me understand what they specialize in, what to order, and the food was exceptional. The coffee also, Italian, and fantastic. This place is welcoming, warm, smells great, awesome food, good service, and fun art imported from the Czech republic. What more could you ask for? The open faced Czech snacks hit the spot, great salmon bagel. Light and with just the right amount of flavor. We had a good time meeting their staff and chatting about Europe and American culture. This is a 10 out of 10, and I'm currently planning another trip for my...
Read moreI had breakfast yesterday with a friend. I had the breakfast burrito and he had a breakfast bagel sandwich. The burrito was good hower it was very small and super duper expensive. Over $17 for the buttito. Thats just out of control. Maybe if it was big and filling but it was about the size of a frozen burito from 7-11. My friend had the breakfast bagel but again it was over $16 and was small. Over $16 for a breakfast bagel ? Really ? I compare all breakfast bagels in the county to Butterhorn. The Butterhorn breakfast bagel is HUGE and excellent and about $7.50. You folks at Moms should go to the Butterhorn in Frisco and order any of the breakfast wraps on a bagel. It blows yours away in size and flavor and at LESS than 1/2 of the price of yours. Maybe the tourists dont care about price gouging, but the locals do !! The food quality was good but the prices on these items is offensive. I wont be buyig food there again because the pricing is just...
