I reserved this room online, and the ease of reserving the room was amazing. But then initially I was intending to give this resort a 1 star based on inability to reach out to anyone prior to my stay. They have very limited open hours for incoming calls to their number on their site, and no answers are available on their site. It didn't even say what time to check in via the email.
When we got there, the door was fortunately open due to one of the people staying having left it open. Unfortunately, this wasn't how it was intended to be. The cleaning man said that check-in wasn't until 3pm, that we couldn't get into our rooms until then, we got there at 11am, because the site said the main desk was open from 9-1pm on both Saturdays and Sundays. No one mans the desk during those hours.
However the hotel was clean, well maintained, and well stocked. The owner put a lot of care into the place, and ensured that her guests (once checked in) were well taken care of. She left detailed instructions on how everything works, and how to get ahold of her if there was a problem (a different number than is on the site).
So, the cons of this hotel is: there's no known number to reach out about your non-refundable reservations. She only answers that phone number on the site on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I hope the hours on the site are accurate. And there's no real communication as to really much, including hours, and how you are supposed to check in.
I don't know if they allow animals, it wasn't in any of the paperwork, and it's not on the site. So if you think you need a place that allows your dog, don't reserve here. You won't be able to ask that question before you get there.
And while the hotel was nice, the room we were in, the ceiling above us allowed EVERY single noise that happened with the people who were roomed above us, to get through. From 10pm until midnight all I heard was squeaking. It wasn't quite constant, but it was continuous enough not to allow me to get to sleep.
If you want a quaint little cute place, this is great. But if you want something with a front desk that answers questions, and handles problems, go...
Read moreThe location is absolutely great. It was less than a minute walk to get to the shuttle bus to the mountain. The ski road goes right by the Boutique and has a stair exit. Our first trip down the stairs we couldnt tell which way to go and that led to a difficult trek around the building. The next day we went right instead and got the skiis into the building much easier. A sign would have been nice to help direct us. It was a short 5 minute walk to the shopping district. Parking is very sparse in the shopping strip so we were happy to walk. There is 1 parking spot per room which was a selling point for me. There is a very nice commons area which was stocked with plates and other cutlery which we took advantage of a few times. My daughter and I stayed in a suite. I slept on the hide a bed and it was what every hide a bed feels like. Better than just sleeping on a couch. My daughter slept in the bedroom and said it was very comfortable. There were humidifiers in both rooms which was nice. The gas fireplace feature was another selling point to me BUT it didnt work. I wanted to mention it to front desk but the front desk is occupied at fairly random times and coincidentally never when we were leaving for an activity. It left the room chilly compared to the bedroom. We also had to put our drinks on the floor by the couch because there was no end table. I understood that a coffee table wouldn't fit with the hide a bed in use but a small end table between the couch and wall would be a useful asdition. We did take advantage of the outdoor hot tubs and that wasna nice experience. It was 10 degrees and we thought we would be too cold but tried anyway...Well worth it! There were bathrobes in our hotel room and they had coat hangers close by the hot tubs. In the future I would go back and overall it was a...
Read moreMy spouse and I stayed her just before Christmas, and it was wonderful. It's a romantic boutique chalet that feels like you're living in a winter holiday wonderland movie! Jake, the owner, was always around and super friendly and helpful if we wanted anything. The place is warm, inviting, cozy, and peaceful. There's on-sight parking for one vehicle per room. The check-in and check-out process was super easy. There's always coffee, teas, and oatmeal waiting for you in the upper lobby area if you're in the mood. And there are two above-ground hot tubs, which were very clean, easy to access from the upper lobby, and fun to soak in after a long, cold day. We were in Suite 2, which is their smallest suite, and it was very nice and clean. In the room was a coffee maker with coffee, a microwave, microwave popcorn, and a large mini-fridge (not the tiny ones that most hotels use but more like you had in your college dorm). It had a super comfortable mattress, a nice size flat screen TV (around 48"), and fun balcony with chairs to relax on. It's a 30-second walk to the free town shuttle stop if you want to ride anywhere on the edges of town. But it's also easy to walk, as it's only two blocks to South Park Ave (the main road entering Breckenridge with some shopping), and just three blocks from Main Street (which is the historic strip with shops, restaurants, and self-care / spa-type services). This is also a ski-in / ski-out chalet. The ski path passes just above it, where there is a stairway to and from the chalet. We couldn't recommend this place more. We'll be back. Thanks for a...
