Well the restaurant must be kind of local, the prices are pretty high for the low quality of the food. The lasagna was very salty and was not cooked properly The pasta (you will see the videos on the posted ) either full of oils or very very salty (the one with red sauce ) the kids meal was the only decent part (was spaghetti with butter ) the dessert wasn’t not even good enough to consider standard quality. But what really is bad about this restaurant it’s the staff, our server (his name describe on the ticket) was absolutely terrible server, you can tell customer service it’s not his forte! People in this restaurant do not have a restaurant presentation (according to the area or prices ) forget about be fine dinning a taqueria will be have the staff better maintain; we know tourists destination has a huge problems with the staff and must hire what ever they can kind for half time ! But this server was not mean to be a server in any way ! At the very beginning he was rushing us so much, then he never show up them we need to call his attention for everything! But we noticed either the manager or owner must be friends / relatives because they has the same mindset (nothing wrong with it ) and let me tell you this place has decent amount customer so for sure they are not doing bad on sells (prices kind of high) maybe because of the locations or maybe because was not that many places open around this season! But base on the locations many people will fall for it or even the amount of the reviews they will choose it but in this opportunity was a bad one! Even though as a usual I leave 25% on tips because don’t want make thinks because a bad experience I don’t tips ( I do my part) well I filor sure never going to going back or...

We had some friends visiting from out of state, and out go-to Italian place is closed for mud season, so we decided to try Giampietro, based on the same level of rating as our favorite Breck Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the rating. A LOT of people were having pizza, so maybe that is good, but the pasta dishes we had were a major disappointment.
It started with the stuffed shells my wife ordered. They were not the giant stuffed shells you would expect. They were tiny. Not Velveeta shells n cheese tiny, but close. The stuffing and the sauce were uninspired, and lacking flavor. I had cheese manicotti, but with alfredo instead of the tomato sauce, and added meatballs. The alfredo sauce was also lacking flavor, and the manicotti noodles felt as if they had been made a long time ago. The meatballs were simply balls of ground beef. No real seasoning or flavor. Our guests had the baked ziti with meatballs (same issues) and the chicken marsala. The marsala tasted more like a sweet water than a marsala wine sauce, and the overall plate was, like everything else, lacking severely in flavor.
On top of all of this, the staff seemed more interested in the NBA game on TV than in working in the restaurant, but I guess that is the norm proprietors expect us to accept these days.
All in all, Giampietro was an extremely disappointing experience. I hope the pizza is good, but we will never be back. If Michael’s (our favorite place) is not open, we will got for a different type of food. Giampietro is not worth taking the chance on. For a meal coming in at nearly $150 with no alcohol ordered, I am now having...
Read moreExtremely rude staff. The hostess acted irritated that we had deigned to arrive in her place of work. When we walked in she seriously just stared at me until I asked for a table. I should have taken this as a sign and left.
Then - chaos strikes. While we are waiting for our table, my kiddo gets sick. It’s awful. It’s embarrassing. We rush him outside - because we are right at the door and no way am I carrying a puking kid through a restaurant to the bathroom, gross for everyone else. But it’s 20 degrees so a couple party members stayed in the waiting area while two of us got him cleaned up and figured out if he was okay and if it was a one-off or if he was sick sick and we were going to need like a bucket to get him back to the hotel. Also they were trying to figure out if they were going to stay or go with us.
Meanwhile- apparently someone walked up to my aunt and thrust dry paper towels at her to clean up the kid’s mess. No questions about if anyone is okay, no help is on the way with sanitizer and like- she was happy to help because that is what you do, but also they didn’t give her any cleaner, nothing to put the paper towels in, and didn’t send a staff member to assist in the clean up until she got irritated.
Then the manager shows up WHILE MY AUNT IS HELPING CLEAN UP and without any other into, no is the kid okay, just tells them we can’t eat here. Like- of course not, idiot. We had no intention of eating there with a sick kid, and weren’t even going to bother with the rest of the group getting to-go after the staff was so inconsiderate. Even if it was a one-off we were going to take him home.
It was just so...
