*UPDATE 3/2/22* Wanting a cappuccino and knowing McDonald's no longer offers."nonfat milk," I chose to stop at a couple of familiar coffee houses, I say a couple because the first one's drive-through line was so long it put Starbucks drive-through lines to shame! Off to the second one, that was a no, mainly because I could never crossover traffic to get to it; the oncoming traffic was horrid! The last drive-through on the way to my house was East Side Java! I had a pretty decent Americano several months ago, only one person ahead of me; that was reasonable, so I thought; it ended up the car ahead of me had four giant drinks and tons of snacky stuff. Apparently, East Side Java is doing something right. My turn came, and I quickly ordered two 12oz nonfat cappuccinos. As she worked making them, other cars were piling up behind me, and on the other side, darn it, there were two drive-through lines; I could have used the other side! Anyway, only one person was working, but she appeared to be calm and chatty, had a great sense of humor and handled herself very well, in a matter of minutes I was on my way home! Our cappuccinos were delicious, smooth, no bitter after taste, not too acidic; this size of drink came with two shots, which generally kills the taste for me because it's typically just too strong, but not this time! Overall a delightful drink, and for $3.50 each, that seemed reasonable. I will compare it with another one at another shop some other time. And yes, sometime in the near future I will support this small business once again!!! `````````````````````````` This afternoon I decided to stop at Eastside Java. Today isn't my first time stopping there, and although I did not purchase the first time, I did this time. The last time I was looking for a green tea frappuccino, and they did not offer that. Today I ordered an 8oz Americano. It has been a while since I have had an americano, so I can not confirm if $1.50 is a decent or high price for its size. The Americano was good in taste; the espresso wasn't so strong or acidic that it made me want to add more water but strong enough that I could enjoy the flavor. Americano is a great alternative to having just black coffee. The one thing that I noticed, there was no foul after taste that I have had in certain espressos in the past, and that is extremely important to me! The barista was friendly and chatty; she offered to double cup it because of how warm it was, so that was a nice jester! I like the fact that they purchase their beans within Washington State. The logo on their cups represent the company they purchase their beans from; DCR stands for Dillanos Coffee Roaster located in Sumner, WA. Depending on where you are coming from can depend on whether their location is handy or not. Eastside Java is a stand-alone coffee house that stands near the Chevron off Riddell and Wheaton Way in-fact they are between Chevron and Jack in the Box. They serve hot and cold drinks with a variety of baked goods. Their address is 4325 Wheaton Way in Bremerton WA. If you haven't experience Eastside Java, what is a better time than now to stop by, or you can order through Grubhub for delivery. You'll be supporting a small, local business, which supports local jobs, which is so very important! *Spend, Eat and Enjoy local; Stay healthy and be happy!!*

Have come here many times since my wife and I moved to Bremerton this last year. Coffee is decent and timely. However, their count of our purchases is way off and having brought this to their attention several times, no solution was offered other than suggesting we use our card in the future. I've been in the service industry for 15 years; this is not how you keep regular customers. This last time I reiterated that we were clearly owed a drink at this point. Also asked for light ice and was full of ice, which has been the norm. For five or six dollar coffee, they need to step up their service. Will not be returning.

Since moving to the Bremerton area this has become my number one choice of latte stands after trying a few others. Always friendly, cute stoppers to brighten a day and excellent lattes. Rewards card, buy 10, get one free. Lovely group of ladies that run this place. By now they all pretty much know my drink when I pull up. Lines can be hit or miss, waited 30mins one time, which is just proof it’s a well loved coffee drive up. Let me say, I’m a big supporter of independent and small businesses.

This is the WORST coffee shop I have ever been to in my life! I stopped over here a year ago and they were so rude. The girl handed me my drink and I gave her my debit card. For some reason their machine would not read my card and it was the only form of payment I had. I let the girl know I could run to the bank or maybe she could hand type the card in. She said "no" and literally took the coffee out of my hand put it on the counter and said I can go to the bank and come back and get it. WOW! Ok...obviously I never came back....until today. ...that was my first mistake, thinking maybe they had trained their employees in proper customer service. I pulled up and ordered my drink. "Can I please have a 16 ounce, decaf, Americano, sugar free vanilla, heavy cream and blended please." the girl pulled the shots, dumped them in the blender and then looked at me and said "you can't blend an Americano" I responded..."its what I always order" she said , "I can make you a blended mocha" at this point I'm thinking....coffee, water and ice...or coffee, milk and ice. What the heck?!? Just make my drink! I then said " I know it turns out kinda weird...a little slushy, but that's ok." she looks at me and says " I'm not making a blended Americano" ...I sat there for a second in shock and then asked the girl, "so are you telling me to go somewhere else to get my drink?!?!" she said "YEP! That's what I'm telling you!" ....I drove off!

Are you kidding me!?!?! Learn some customer service folks! I can't even comment on their coffee because I have never made it long enough at this shop to ever...

Have been a regular here on and off for a few years. I love that it is close to home and on my way to work, but there has been a steep decline in quality of service and products here. I order pretty much the exact same thing every time I come through(2-4 times a week) and especially recently, the drinks did not taste or look the same as before. The drinks don't taste bad! But they are inconsistent with what you would expect when you order the same drink over and over again. In my experience, there is only one girl who actually talks to me, smiles and remembers my name. I know it's not easy getting up early for work, but if the girls there like their jobs, I wouldn't be able to tell. The shop gets busy, but sometimes I will wait for ten minutes behind the same car and have to leave with no drinks because I have to leave for work. This morning in particular, the stand was not busy(according to them) but there were multiple dirty espresso glasses sitting at the machine. I ordered a white coffee Americano, iced, and she poured my cream into the drink and handed it to me unmixed. Dirty espresso glasses were used so I also had coffee grounds sitting in the bottom of my glass. I don't like to post negatively about small businesses but after an accumulation of sub-par experiences and hoping things would be better, they have not improved. I hope things will improve at some point but until then I don't think I will...
