Cascade Draft House — Restaurant in Bristol

Out of all the places to drink a Brewhaha(Beer) on State Street this would be the place. Now the place isn't much to look at as far as in appearance, but it makes up for it in friendly people and always great bartenders. They probably have close to 60 Beers on tap. So if you can't find one you like there is probably something wrong with you(sorry not sorry). While this looks like a plain Jane dive bar it's not. You come for the beer, atmosphere of friendly people, and to have a good time. If this doesn't sound like your kind of place then your probably suited for one of the other bars down the street that closes early in the middle of the day and have unfriendly bartenders.

We went by recently for the Thursday night live music and to check the place out. A staggering number of choices for beers on tap, with a few ciders as well. Also thankfully it wasn't just a sea of IPAs, feels like a very well curated list of offerings. Digital signs and a good ole photo copy list to read off the drink list. With the bonus of a spin wheel for the indecisive or adventurous who just can't decide. The service was excellent, knowledgeable, and welcoming. We really enjoyed the bright interior loaded with local artists work for sale. Felt clean, inviting and chill. Five stars based on the beer selection. This part of the country - Johnson City to Bristol - does not have a lot of great breweries or craft beer bars. Yes, there are exceptions (e.g., Little Animals) and Ashville is a reasonable drive away for a day trip. Cascade is an oasis in the desert. An extensive and varied tap list and an impressive bottle/can selection. The venue is a nice but nothing to distinguish it here. No food is offered, to my knowledge. I was given only a beer menu. My favorite beer bars will have snacks of some kind (especially warm pretzels with mustard and beer cheese dip). Great location in the heart of Bristol. The beer is the star and I will definitely be back to try more of the best beer the area...
