O'Connor's Public House — Restaurant in Brookfield

I guess if you’re white it’s a great place but don’t expect that if you’re latino. From the moment we walked in the waitress wasn’t very friendly and by watching her other interactions it was just with us. But the icing on the cake was that a group of people there who arrived after our group literally acted like they owned the place. We were at the pool table and they literally came by and said “we’re next”. It would be all good, it’s a public space, we can share however, they would hog the table as much as possible and when we would place a dollar bill on the table to say “ok we’re next” the girl in their group would literally throw it on the floor. Not to mention she kept mocking our accent. We thought about complaining but realized they were regulars and I guess friends of the people there so what was the point? Horrible experience and if you are gonna allow people to act like that towards other paying customers than you might as well close the place down just for your personal friends. Not to mention the xenophobia....

Awesome atmosphere. The food Is really good, the only thing that I wish would change is the service, they take awhile to even acknowledge you and even then the service is just really slow, but I don't mind because I like to be able to enjoy myself and not have to rush, and considering how good the food is to Me it is worth the wait. And the servers are great, they are all friendly and nice, just slow. But that will not stop me from going there often. I stopped on a Monday night to meet a friend and have a couple of beers. The bartender was nice and attentive. Decent selection of draft beers. Only thing that threw me off was the disrespectful couple of guys I'd say in their 50s, probably tipsy trying to talk to my friend and me, making sexual suggestions. The bartender didn't say a word about it, being right in front of them. But I guess that's the type of bar and regulars that go there . Just for that I don't think I'd be going back.
