I went into this location to pick up a DoorDash order and had a very disappointing experience. When I walked in, I wasn’t greeted or acknowledged at all. There appeared to be two employees working — one at the window and one at the front — yet neither spoke to me.
I waited in the designated pickup area for several minutes and noticed there were no orders in the pickup box, which meant I needed to speak with someone. Even as I stood there, the front-end worker walked past me multiple times without saying a word. Eventually, I said, “Hey, I’m here for a DoorDash order.” The woman at the window turned around and gave me a strange look, so I repeated myself. She then said, “The orders are in the box.” I told her, “Ma’am, there’s nothing here.”
At that point, she told me I’d have to wait. I explained that I had already been waiting, and instead of responding professionally, she immediately became defensive and dismissive. She turned her nose up and began speaking to me with an attitude. After she started berating me, another employee stepped out from the back — not to help, but seemingly just to watch. None of them asked if I needed assistance, and the front worker still never said a single word to me, even after I clearly said I was there to pick up an order.
What confused me most is that no one ever even asked for the name on the order, yet the woman said she was going to call DoorDash and told me I could leave the store — simply because I mentioned that no one had acknowledged me.
I left feeling disrespected, embarrassed, and genuinely shocked by how unprofessional the behavior was. I’ve never been treated that way while picking up an order, and this type of customer service is completely unacceptable.
And to add insult to injury, I even made a Facebook post about what happened. Rather than owning up to how I was treated — especially since I know they have cameras that can replay the footage — they saw my post and blocked me.
This was definitely racially motivated, especially considering the two workers involved were Caucasian. Tropical Smoothie, you ignored me in person and now online. You guys are really setting an example for what customer service looks like. 👏

I find it mighty funny that you’re saying this under the Google review when I mentioned this on Facebook and instead of addressing the issue I was blocked! I was blocked on all pages!
