Having two decades of experience in the hospitality sector, I've come to appreciate the critical nature of excellent customer service, particularly in these challenging times post-Covid, where staffing is often short and expectations are high. My visit to your restaurant tonight left me thoroughly impressed, primarily due to the exceptional service provided by Samantha M. In the bar, where I was seated.
My night began with an attempt to dine at Whiskey Creek, but upon self-seating in the bar due to a lack of staff direction, I found no available tables and waited 15 minutes without assistance. Deciding to leave, I encountered similar issues at another local BBQ spot, which was preparing to close early. This led me to your establishment, where my experience improved dramatically.
I was promptly seated and within five minutes, Samantha greeted me, efficiently took my drink order, and ensured my food was on its way. Not only was the meal served hot and tasty, but throughout the 30 to 45 minutes I spent dining, Samantha checked on me no less than five times, always with a smile and a positive demeanor. Her work ethic was exceptional, and such dedication is increasingly rare. I sincerely hope she is recognized and rewarded for her performance, as she undoubtedly has a bright future ahead in any career she chooses.

Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! We had a group of about 10 of us and our tables weren't ready, so we were asked to wait at the bar and have a couple drinks. We had 1 drink up at the bar and no issues. We got sat down and ordered another drink and our food. We were all chatting amongst ourselves and watching the football game in the back and even gave the waitress a compliment (which she rolled her eyes at). We got 2 things of our appetizers (not our meals) and then we're waiting on drinks. We went to ask our server if we could get another round and she said no, confused by this and asked why. She presumed to say we were all too drunk and would not serve us anymore (ALL of us, we had 3 DD drivers -one whom was pregnant). We asked what we did and she could not answer us. We asked to see the supervisor 3x. Finally he came over and was a complete jerk and could not tell us what we did wrong and said he canceled all of our orders and to leave. We all walked out and were cordial about it, but alot of unanswered questions as we were shocked by this as none of us knew what we had done wrong. Read moreWe went to watch the Vikings game and called prior to coming to verify that they would be showing it. We got there and a “shift lead” put on a YouTube stream of someone doing a play by play of the game instead of the actual game and then walked away. When we asked for the actual game, we were told a manager was coming to put the game on because the shift lead didn’t know how. Asked again a full 30 minutes later and was told the manager was coming. Manager never showed and the game was never put on. Would never have come except to see the game.
Food was fine but not great (wings were on the lukewarm side) and the server at the bar was straight-up avoiding us (probably because she knew that the game was never going to happen). We sat at the bar and she still managed not to refill drinks, etc.
At the end of the day, I would not have minded as much if they had just been honest with us from the get go and told us that they couldn’t get the game, but they continued to lead us on in telling us that a manager was coming when it was clear that that was not going to happen.
