Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Brownsville

Once my family sat down we ordered our beverages along with placing our sons meal (Grilled Chicken and Mandarin Oranges) before our meal. After receiving our drinks, We order the special 2 for $22. We get the appetizer...keep in mind it's already 20 mins. into our sons meal. chicken should be cook by now. The waiter comes back and says "It's taking long but it should be out in a min." I said okay. 10 mins go by and my sons meal comes out. By now it's 40 mins. The hostesse asked if we are doing okay. And my Husband says, "We still have not yet received our meals, ticket time is 12-18 mins." She than says okay let me go and check on it. By now our waiter comes by and says "Something happened to the computers and the kitchen did not receive the order but they are making it now, and will be out in a bit." I asked to speak to the manager. The manager comes by and explains what happened, giving the same excuse that the computers messed up. and he said he will personally bring out our meal, should take 5 mins. It comes out and my Husbands steak is medium well. when he ordered a Medium steak. By now at this point we are starving and just continue to eat. When my husband offers me some of his asparagus I noticed burnt paper on the ends of it, 5 pieces had burnt paper on them. I look for the manager and he apologizes and says he will take off his meal. and goes to the kitchen. he comes back and ends up saying he will take care of the whole bill.

I told the manager he does not have to do that. not my intention. He says he understands and apologizes and says he's embarrassed, that's why he is taking care of it. My whole thing out of this is why did the waiter not keep me informed about the situation? Why tell us 40 mins after we have been their? when they are supposed to check back with us 3 times throughout out experience. he did not do that. Throughout this whole time I thought to myself who else's meal came out wrong because no one else around us got their meal out late. why just us? To be honest with you, I would have felt better if they were just honest about the problem instead of making it up. I felt lied to. Will not be back to that...

5•11•25 decided to come on mother's day was quite overwhelming packed. But id like to give a huge shout out to our waiter Diego he went above and beyond, kept his kool we saw that he had big parties and yet was on top of his game. It was alot on his plate but very impressed with his patients always did refills or anything we requested he came thru. So thank you Diego and chillies these are the people you should take care of and maybe train others with his skills. Very kind and courteous with his tables. Now abt food I ordered the trio entree the egg rolls, cheese, and boneless wings now what's the deal chillies did the rolles become smaller and less filling inside. That's sad. They were good but they looked miniature size. Not your usual serving and size. So people who order these will be aware size is changing but prices are higher. Just FYI. My mom got the salmon plate they brought it with asparagus and broccoli but that asparagus man what in the world super thin didn't even look like asparagus as it should. They made her a fresh batch and was better than the original one they brought. I guess food was alright but yeah either serve more to get your moneys worth.

Came in from the last time i was here the experience was alot better. A bit more organized for being a friday night. My waiter was very nice and very hospitable and my dishes were very nice and well served. This chilis needs to step it up. Your prices are outrageous, and your food always served cold. That's why I always hesitate to come to these chillies. I always go to the one in Weslaco, which has hot foot, friendly staff and nice and clean. Vs. Here, restroom filthy, staff don't check on you for refills your waving like an idiot to get some service, etc. I was just disappointed in this location. And I only came because I got invited still it's not worth the price. Only 2 people had the same thing to eat the trio sampler and that was just a sad mess. And yet I didn't notice they charged me 2 sodas when in reality it was only One and one top shelf Margarita. So paid 54.00 for just that. Just dissapointing and not recommending...

It was nice. I have alot to share 😂. Today is my grandpa's birthday, and we went to Chilli's to celebrate. The staff had brought us an extra plate of food and I believe they charged us for it. The wait for your food isn't too long, but they might get it wrong (they got it wrong for us, my mother and aunt wanted corn tortillas but they got flour tortillas several times, my grandpas order had shrimp, but they gave us an extra order for whatever reason.) It kind of scared me when they started singing happy birthday to the table Infront of us, and when they sang to my grandpa, (although they did give him his ice cream - chocolate thing a long while after we finished our food.) The staff is nice and they're pretty chill.. food is nice, and the wait time varies. (If it's not too busy there, you might not have to wait a long time, but if it's more on the full side, then you'd better hope it won't take long 😂) overall great place and good food, I like that they sing happy birthday and give...
