Heavenly Fudge — Restaurant in Bryson City

Wow one of the WORST staff experiences I’ve ever had in my life. Went in to get a latte, which was Fantastic. Girl was so rude, didn’t say one word and acted like it was a bother to be there. Set my drink on counter, still no word. Went out and told my husband how rude she was….Then realized I left my phone. Went back at 4:50 and noticed lights were off and was panicked I couldn’t get it back. Knocked on door as I saw my phone laying on counter, she turned around saw me and continued cleaning machine. Knocked two more times and she ignored me. Yelled in the crack in door ,”I left my phone”…. Ignored!!!! Finally I rapped with my car keys so loud she finally huffed over, opened the door and said ”sorry , we’re closed!” Told her my phone was on counter and she was SOOOOO annoyed …I was shocked. We visited shortly before closing, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The selection of chocolates and fudges was comparable to many other chocolate/fudge stores I've seen, but they offer some unique flavors i have never seen before. One of those flavors was candied ginger. I tried all of the candied fruits. (dried fruits dipped in milk or dark chocolate.) The candied fruits were so-so. The fudge was good, and they will let you sample all of the flavors before purchasing. We also had a hot chocolate, which was the highlight of the visit. They have nice indoor and outdoor...

I'm sorry to give this review but I'm also sorry they made me waste money and want to spare the next unsuspecting tourist. Staff was nice, but fudge is absolutely terrible. Wish I had sampled it before spending $25 on two slices. The walnut and the dark chocolate taste like donut glaze with chemicals added. It was so gross we threw it out after one bite. Everyone in our group agreed. Sample before you buy. This place needs to do better before taking...
